I hope that, when you stand in front of the mirror and take off your makeup tonight, you realize just how stunning you truly are. Your skin may not be perfect and you may not be as thin as you would like, but, in my eyes, you are one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen because your beauty does not stop at the surface. You are kind and gentle and understanding. Your soul and your heart shine with a beauty that not even the stars could rival.
I hope that, when you lie down next to the man you love tonight, he realizes just how blessed he truly is to be with you. I hope that, when he looks at you, he sees the strong, beautiful woman that I do. The laundry might not be done all the time and dinner might be burnt some nights and the bills might not always be paid on time, but I know that you love him with all your heart and would do anything for him. Even if he is a stubborn baby at times.
I hope that, when your daughters look up at and smile at you, they realize just how amazing their mother truly is. You might not be the world's most perfect mother, but no sandwich remains uncut, no boo-boos remain unkissed, and no bedtime stories remain unread. You may lose your cool at times and things might not always go as smoothly as you would like, but you are nothing but patient and kind with them. I hope that they see how lucky they are to have a mother as magnificent as you.
There are many brave and wonderful women in our family and it makes my heart swell with joy and pride that you have followed in their footsteps. To see how far you have come--how much you have grown--in the past few years makes me so happy. It reassures me that this world is not as bad as it may seem at times.
I am so happy that you are in my life, that, even though we are grown, you continue to share your own life with me. I hope that we never grow apart.
I love you, my best friend, my rock, my sister.
