Saylon was a town. Not a big town but not a tiny one either; it had a mall and stores, restaurants and a food market. This town was normal, silent and beautiful; the people were nice. There is a temple at the very top of a very strange mountain. It was ageless and peaceful. The temple was large with stone steps carved into the mountain, and a towering arch at the very top of the steps that had beautiful carvings of a woman and a monster. The woman was exceptionally beautiful with her long hair, flowing dress, slim figure. Her hand was outstretched towards the monster as if saying take my hand and run away with me but it a very happy and excited mannor; the monster on the other hand was very large towering over her, it's body looked as if the devil made him from whatever was left from various species, its form was built with muscle, eyes from what looked to be a snake of some kind, its hair long and dark hanging over his eyes slightly and pooled over his shoulders and back, his feet and hands had long sharp claws, but what was the most peculiar was the huge horns protruding from his head like that of the devil. They were very large and sharp but strangely he was beautiful in a different way as he held out his hand as if to catch hers. Once you stepped through the arch it is as if you were transported to a different world, the air seemed foggy, there were torches lit all around the beautifully mysterious temple. The fire illuminated the gold and blues and purples of the temple walls; to the right there laid just past the tree line a crystal waterfall. Its peaceful sounds of the water crashing over the shining rocks only added to its beauty and mystery. My fingers glazed over the stone statues of the woman and the monster as I continued to walked up the the temple. My heart tugged as I looked at the dusty temple, its bell and rope untouched for a melenium. Gently I pulled the rope the song of the old bell reverberating off the walls around it. Clapping my hands together as I shut my eyes I quickly prayed for a new lover.

The abrupt buzz of my pocket causing me to jump.
"Hello?" I say into to it as a glimpse of something caught my eye.
"Hey Sel sorry to call you on your day off but we need to confirm some documents with you. Do you have some time to spare ?"
"Yes of course! I don't mind, I'm not doing anything in particular"
"Great! So we just need you to read over some documents I'll be sending them to you over email now..."

The sound of taping keys lingered over the line for a few moments before my phone chimed. Glancing at my screen I confirmed the documents were sent.
"Alright I'll look these over and get back to you"
"Sounds great! And make sure to have fun, the trip may be for work but don't be shy about the attractions! I hear they are a pretty sight"
"I will, I'm actually at the Lonely Mountain temple."

With rushed goodbyes I hung up. The uneasy feeling of being watched glazing up the back of my neck. With tired legs I began back down the long temple stairs back down to town.
