~Lyz's POV~
We trudged on. We were lost, scared, and forgotten. We were climbing over rocks in Kentucky.
"Gosh I hate this." I said.
"I don't think anyone likes it." Madi remarked.
We were silent, mostly because we wanted to save our breathes for the rock climbing.
"I miss dad and Merle." Madi said.
"Me too...even though Merle is probably just doing drugs and banging some new chick." I replied which made Madi giggle.
We made it to the top of a hill and there was an amazing view.
"Do you think that dad is looking for us?" I asked.
Madi merely shrugged.
"Don't know. Don't care." She said.
"Your just like dad." I said.
"At least I'm not like Merle." She replied.
"Or grandpa." I said.
She looked at me.
"Don't."
I understood. Sometimes, when dad was in jail or in trouble, we had to stay with grandpa. And let's just say...he was mean.
"Let's...keep going." I said and she nodded.
We trudged on until our feet met a road.
"On ward!" Madi said and away we went on the road to nowhere.
