Savvy rolled over to the right side of her bed and slammed her fist on her alarm clock. When the ringing didn't stop, she tilted her head upwards and noticed it was 4:05 am. A smell of gas hung in the air.

Her eyes widened and practically jumped out her her bed to figure out where the source of the scent was.
Savvy swung her bedroom door open and noticed the small rose colored flame on the stove top.

"Alden! Oh my gosh, there's a fire in the kitchen!" She screamed in panic. A loud crash was heard from inside the room beside hers.
The tall blond slender dork, Savvy referred to as her "apartment buddy" dashed past her and pulled out a moist towel.

He thwacked the small fire. Over. And over. And over again. The fire slowly subsided to a tiny ember. He whacked it once more and the fire was completely gone.

The two of them sighed in relief and sat down on the couch.
"What did you do" Alden sneered.
"I didn't do anything, what do you mean?"
"If something goes wrong, it's always your fault."
Savvy punched Alden in the shoulder.
She stood up and stretched her arms.
"Okay fine, it's possible I may have accidentally left the stove on..."
Alden stared at her. The two stayed silent for an awkward amount of time.

He chuckled and made his way back to his room. Savvy sat back down on the couch and turned the T.V set on. She was already awake, no point in going back to bed now.
