You get sad
You get mad
You get hurt
You get pained
You get broken
But you forget about it
Forget it happened
But do you really
Because when you overthink
About your past
The sorrows of the past
Will come back to haunt you
Even if you never meant to remember
They'll form a black pool around your body
And swallow you whole
Never to return
You try to swim back to shore
But something is keeping you
The chains of the past control you
And they drag you deeper into the depths
Of your past sorrows
And drown you in them
Never to come back
At least not the same
