A/N: Hey guys, I got this idea cause our power went out for a bit tonight lol. I have never seen American Horror Story: Coven, but really wanted to write this. I apologize now if it sucks.

Thunder roars like an angry dragon overhead, every once in awhile a flash of lightening bathes the darkened room in a wash of light.

Sitting in the middle of your bed, you close your eyes taking a deep breath of the fresh rainy air that wafts in through the open window. You love nights like this; the smell of the rain, the rumble of thunder, the crashing of lightening.

"Seriously did the damn power have to go out?!" You chuckle hearing Madison yell as she passes by your open doorway. Within seconds the lights flicker back to life, exposing a boxer clad Kyle standing in your doorway.

"Holy crap Kyle you scared me!" Instantly his gaze drops to the floor in regret, "s-orry. S-cared." Another overhead boom of thunder has him scurrying in bed next to you.

You feel him shivering against your leg underneath the covers, "Kyle? It's ok honey. C'mon out." You purr softly in an attempt to make his blond curls reappear. Your efforts have the opposite effect when instead of coming out; Kyle throws the covers over your head as well.

"Kyle wh-" you giggle lightly as he snuggles as close as he possibly can next to your body. His face finds it's way into your neck, his arm worms around your waist.

"Kyle it's ok. Just big noise." You pet his blond curls while whispering to him, "it'll pass."

You suck in a sharp breath of surprise when Kyle suddenly moves on top of you after more thunder roars from above. Both of your breathing coupled with the blanket cocoon makes the trapped air stifling, your hands scrabble at the barrier between you and some fresh air but Kyle makes a panicked noise that causes your attention to avert back to him.

"It's ok Kyle I just-we need fresh air." He frantically shakes his head, clearly not wanting to leave the small confines of the blanket-like fort.

"N-o go. St-ay with (Y-Y/N)" his eyes plead with you. Inside, the war between not wanting to suffocate and soothing Kyle, is in full swing as you try to come up with some way to complete both tasks with nothing coming to mind.

Kyle's hands tangle in your shirt as he tries to get impossibly closer, like he's trying to burrow into you, suddenly you're nose to nose.

"Kyle I can't breath. Can I please just make a small-"

BOOM!

Kyle's whole body wiggles as if he's been touched with a live wire, instantly you swaddle him in your embrace trying to make the shaking stop.

After a few seconds he calms enough that his body stills.

"Kyle you ok?" His answer is just a slow nod that has his lips brushing against your neck, it's your turn to shiver now.
"I'm going to pull the cover off our heads ok." When he doesn't argue you slowly remove the covers from off your heads, gasping in lungs full of sweet air.

Re-wrapping your arms around Kyle, you listen to the soft raindrops that replaced the booming thunder from earlier.

"See Kyle, the scary storm is over now. Everything's ok." He doesn't move, "Kyle?" He snuffles sleepily against your neck, his body a relaxed weight a top you.

Smiling to yourself, you flick off the bedside lamp.

"Goodnight Kyle."

A/N #2: well this ended up being awful. Sorry guys. 😕
