When you first spawn in your main concern is to find wood. Since most of the things you have to make needs wood! You then make wooden planks by opening your inventory and Putting all of the wood in one of the four squares.Then make a crafting table by opening your inventory and move the planks into all four squares. Use the rest of the wood to then make your self a small hut to live in.
Now it's time to make some tools! Place your crafting table down and click it. First you want to made a wooden pickaxe so you can get some cobble stone. For this you will need some sticks so place some wood in two boxes like this []

Then place one in the middle and then on in the bottom middle. With three blocks put them on all the top line and there you go you have a pick
