After you downloaded your Pokemon Go App you will talk to the professor. Next he will let you pick a Pokemon but do not press/pick a pokemon if you want a pikachu because if you walk away from the pokemon and make it pop out again 6 times wait for a few seconds because a picachu will pop out.
