Apart.

Its now been six days and colby hasnt texted me or called me or even talked to me in class.I worry alot that he , even when he doubts it, likes chelsea.

"alica?helloooo?" I hear someone talk to me while tapping my shoulder. I quickly turn my face to see Leslie trying to grab me outof my thoughts.
"whats wrong with you? I thought you had the best weekend with colby?" She questions me. "Yeah I did but... we met chelsea and she said some real disturbing things about colby and her. And I still think about that..." I say as quietly as I can because colby sits 4 seats infront of me.
"chelsea?Like "school slut chelsea"?" she asks and I nod
"Dont worry about her she is the slut and literally wants something from every guy on this school but Colby always rejects her. Believe me" She reassures me. "Really? Great to hear that because I really worried cuz he also didnt call and text me in 6 days" I say with a slight tone of dissapointment in my voice. "oh sweety did you never have somethig with a guy before?You also have to text him first" she explains to me.
"well that explains alot" I say smiling to myself.

After class I say to Leslie "I gotta go to the bathroom quick. you can already go to lunch" I say as she nods and I walk towards the bathroom.
As Im finished I wash my hands and hear someone coming into the bathroom "Colby?! What the heck are you doing here? This is the grils room if you havent noticed"
"I did notice..." he says winking at me "But I really missed you and wanted to talk to you somewhere quiet" He says as he comes closer to me and puts my head into his hands. He gives me a little kiss onto my forehead and I notice how much I actually missed him.
"What do you wanna talk about?" I ask him. "Just wanted to ask If you already have plans for tonight?"
"not that I know" I answer him.
"great Im gonna pick you up at 8"
"and what are we doing?" I ask him
"be surprised" He just says and walks towards the door and I follow him.
We first look if any teacher is near the girls room but luckily there isnt anyone in the halls.
We walk to lunch together and I sit on my place next to Leslie and Colby walks over to Sam and their other friends.
"What happend?" Leslie asks. "Colby just asked me out tonight" I say.
"really? Im so happy for you" She says and gives me a hug. She is just such a good friend and Im so happy to have met her.
"Have you already heard about the winter dance?" Leslie asks me as I shove my sandwich into my mouth while shaking my head. "What is that?" I ask her. "Its just this really nice dance every year and its in 2 weeks. Didnt colby ask you to go with him?" She questions.
"no he didnt..." I say as pictures of chelsea and him go through my head.
"Dont worry Alica he will soon probably. He also never went to a dance before. He isnt the type of guys for stuff like that" She says as I quietly nod and continue to eat my sandwich.

7pm the same day

I look up from my phone screen noticing that its already 7pm. So I jump of my bed and walk to my closet pulling out a grey crew-neck sweater from Vans and some black skinny jeans i decide to put on a black beanie and my Timberlands as well. I quickly grab my bag and some gloves since I dont know if were gonna be outside.
"Im hanging out with leslie and her friends tonight" I tell my mom. "be safe honey" She just says.
I walk out the front porch and already see Colbys car. I walk towards him and open the oassenger seat door.
"Hey" I simply say and get in.
"hey gorgeus" he answers and it drives me crazy.
He reaches for the power button of the Radio and turns it on. As we silently sit there we listen to "I hate u i love u" by gnash.
"this song is so beautiful" I say.
"yeah I really like it" he says as he takes my hand. It feels like electricity goes through my body with every touch of his.
After 20 minutes of driving we pull up onto a parking lot.
"this is it" he says. "what is what?" I ask as he gets out the car and opens my door for me.
"you will see" he says as he reaches for my hand and interwines our fingers.
We walk down the parking lot and turn around the corner. There is a huge ice rink light up by fairy lights going all around it. As I look onto the Ice I read the words "Will you go to Winter dance with me?" This is the cutest thing anyone has ever done for me.
"Alica, will you go to winter dance with me?" Colby asks me as he stands so close to me our noses already touch. I look into his deep blue eyes as I answer him "I thought dances werent youre thing" i say joking and a smile escapes his face "they werent until I met you" He says as me knees get weak. Did a boy just really say this to me? "Yes I will go to winter dance with you" I answer him and hug him.
"She said yes!" someone screams and I look up. Sam and Leslie along with some of colbys and leslies friends stand on the ice rink. "yeah!" leslie shouts out as I start laughing.
Everyone starts cheering and this might be the best moment of my life.

Me ans colby put on our ice skating shoes and also go onto the ice. "You knew from all of this?" i ask leslie and punch her playfull.
"I know Im a bitch" she says and I burst out in laughter.
Leslie introduces me to her friends and they are all so nice. We start skating while I keep talking to some of the girls as I feel someone tap my shoulder. "Hey alica I want to introduce you to my friends" Colby says and grabs my hand while skating towards his friend group.
"So you're the famous Alica" a rather small guy with blue eyes and brown hair and a beanie says.
"Well I guess so" I say shy. "Im reed" He introduces himself and gives me a hug.
"Im Devin" Another guy with blonde hair and green eyes says as he hugs me.
"and Im the best one outof all of them. Im sam" sam introduces himself and I smile. He also hugs me. "But you two dont go to our school do you? i ask Devin and Reed. "no we go to a school 30 minutes from yours bit we've known since were small and we also do meet and greets together." Reed answers me.
we keep on talking for 30 minutes and then start skating with the others.
We have so much fun but at around 10 pm I get a message from my mom saying

Please be home by 10.30 honey. love you x

"hey colby we have to leave ... I habe to be home by 10.30" I tell him as he understandingly nods.
We say goodbye to everyone and start deiving home.
After 20 minutes we reach my house.
"Why dont you come inside? my parents are going to meet you anyways at the winter dance" I suggest.
"are you sure? I dont want your parents to hate me" he jokes around.
We both get out of his car and walk to my front porch. We walk inside as I shout "Mom?Dad? I have to introduce you to someone" I say as my hearts starts beating faster.
Both come walking down the stairs and walk towards me and Colby
"arent you that guy from the craft store?" My dad asks colby "Yeah" he abswers shy and shakes his hand.
"This is Colby and we are going to the winter dance together" I say to my mom and dad expecting them to get mad. "Really? Thats so nice! Im happy for you both" My mom starts as I just stand there in shock. "Were not dating" I explain to her.
"Habe fun you two and nice to meet you colby" she carries on and hugs him.
What a perfect day.
