Toby's POV
Tears roll down my face. I can't believe this. They are taking the most important thing in my life away from me just like that There has to be something I can do. I think harder than I ever have. I only have one hour to figure something out. This whole thing is my fault. Emily's hand rubs my back to comfort me.
"It will be okay Toby"
"No Emily it won't they can't do this"
I get up and barge into Spencer's room. The loud beeps coming from the heart monitor are keeping a steady pace. In just under an hour it will be still. I sit down beside Spencer and push her hair behind her ear. I kiss her lightly on the forehead then grab her hand.
" I love you more than anything in the world spence. This whole thing is my fault. I just can't lose you Spencer. Please stay with me"
A single tear rolls down my face which turns into a full sob. This is it this is really it. I lean down and kiss the top of her head one more time. I get up off the bed and start towards the exit. I listen my grip on Spencer's hand but it won't come loose. I try harder and then I realize she can hear me!
