38 - Leo

"Leo.... Come on. Don't be shy. I'm pretty sure they'll like you."

"Y/N, stop lying. I'm scared for my life here! What if I spill my drink all over the table? Or if don't impress your dad? Or your mom? WHAT AM I-"

"Leo! Calm down! Everything's gonna be alright. They'll love you. As much as I talk about you to them, I'm pretty sure they'll love you just as much as they love me. I know you well Leo, you'll do fine." You smile at your boyfriend and peck his cheeks, his face turning bright red.

"Okay fine." He says and you smile. Sighing, he takes a breath and steps out of the car.

"Ready?" You say as you look at Leo, his eyebrows knitted together. You poke his cheek and he removes himself from his trance.

"Sorry Y/N... It's just.."

You sigh and turn him to face you. He looks at you with worry as you stroke his cheek with your thumb. Slowly, you lean in and kiss his plump, soft lips. You can feel him slightly melt into the kiss and you smile with joy. Finally pulling away, you look at him once more.

"Ready now?" Leo nods his head and you open the door.

"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" You say as you close the door and your mom peeps her head from the kitchen.

"Oh my gosh, honey! Y/N's here!" She says as she runs over to you and bear hugs you. Your dad comes running down the stairs and hugs you from the other side.

"Umm.. Guys.. Too tight-" You say as they pull apart.

"Oh, sorry. Got caught up in the moment. Oh! And who is this we have here?" You dad asks as you smile and turn to Leo.

"Mom, dad, this is Leo. My boyfriend." Leo smiles and waves.

"Hi. It is very nice to meet the both of you" He says, paying close attention to your father.

"Oh Leo! Y/N has told us much about you. You're just as wonderful in person. Welcome to our home as well as the family." Your mom says and you see Leo loosen up. Your dad holds out his hand and Leo takes it, the both of them shaking hands with delight.

"Leo... It's a pleasure. My daughter talks so much about you, I could only assume you were right for her." Your dad brings you into a hug and ruffles your hair.

"Dad!" You say as he chuckles.

"Y/N is my special princess and I expect you to take good care of her. Think you're up for the task?" Your dad asks and Leo nods his head

"Absolutely sir."

"Good. Then we won't have a problem." Your dad says as he gives Leo a good pat on the back. He follows your mom into the kitchen and you look at Leo and smile.

"Now, was that so hard?"

"No. Not at all."
