I hate him. I don't really know why. Maybe it is just his stupid smirk or maybe the fact that he obviously hates me too. Either way, I hate him.
I know that he is Cass's best friend, hence why I put up with him, but I don't know how much longer I can last. Of course, being the stupid person I am, I agreed to help him. I was stupid enough to agree to be his fake girlfriend. What the hell is wrong with me? I can't be his fake girlfriend! How can I pretend to like him much less love him? This is going to be a long night.
I mean, I will do it, hopefully. I just have to look nice, make a good impression on his parents, and get drunk and hung over him at the party. It's not that bad. At least I look hot. I am going to try and stun him, be noticed tonight, try and at least have fun. I am wearing a black crop top dress. My back is mostly exposed and the opening revealing my back is tied off with a simple knot so it won't open for my front to be exposed. That would be horrible. The skirt, or bottom half, of the dress only goes halfway down my thighs. Call it overexposing but he wanted the package, so here is comes.
He will be here any minute so I just tie my natural red hair into a ponytail, not really caring at this point. My makeup consists of a smokey eye and red lips. I hear the doorbell ring and I call out to my parents, telling them I will get it. I really don't think they need to see that I am going out with a boy if it is nothing serious. I mean, seriously, how embarrassing would that conversation be? Answer: very.
I open the door and notice Cole is looking quite nice with his blonde hair smoothed back with hair gel. He is wearing a white dress shirt that clings to his body nice, if I do say so myself. He is wearing black pants and yet I see he refuses to wear dress shoes as his own act of rebellion so he is just wearing sneakers. I smirk at that and when I finally return to his ocean blue eyes, I see that he is giving me a once over with wide eyes.
I clear my throat before saying, "Well, if you are done eye-raping me, can we get going?"
Blush appears on his cheeks and I laugh at his reaction. We hurry to his car and it is a black Mercedes, not too shabby. I don't know what I expected, but it certainly wasn't this, or to be greeted with a gentleman who actually holds the door open for me so I can get in before him. I grin at him in thanks and he seems to relax a bit before getting into the driver's seat.
"So, I guess I should give you the run down of what is expected to happen," he starts and I glare at him. "Of course, you are your own person and I can't stop you but you did agree to help me and it would be nice if you could pull this off. Well, I guess it will start with meeting my parents since they don't really believe me. Just act like a loving girlfriend, but not too clingy. That would be too obvious. Also, my siblings will be there, so try to be nice to them."
"Hey, I got this, children are my specialty," I brag but he gives me a stern look and I just sigh. "Okay, okay, I get it, be nice to the little tykes and don't be too clingy."
"Good, then we will head over to my place for the party and just act head over heels for me. I really don't care if you get drunk but just be there for the beginning when I am introducing you to everyone. It shouldn't be too difficult to convince a few drunks, or almost drunks, but just act the part. It isn't that hard so hopefully it is easy enough for you not to screw up."
"What is that supposed to mean?" I say, making him sigh as we pull into his parent's driveway. Of course, he doesn't actually answer my question, just gets out of the car, making me huff in disappointment and annoyance. But I don't complain and just get out of the car to follow him.
His parent's house is quite nice. It is a respectable size and is painted a shade of light red on the trim while the rest is white. It is surrounded by shrubs and flowers. It is absolutely beautiful and as we reach the front porch, Cole links his arm through mine. I don't shake him off since his parents could be watching, but I can't help but grimace. Of course, I quickly wipe it off my face because this is what I am going to have to endure for the next few hours.
