ZAYN POV
"Zayn, give me my phone back," Liam cried as I held the phone over his head.
"Nope," I said, plopping the 'p' at the end. I smiled at him. This was fun, teasing Liam on his birthday. Yep, it's August 23, 2013. Harry, Niall, Louis, and I had all ganged up on Liam, pulling a bunch of pranks on him. After all, it was his 20th birthday. What better way to celebrate leaving the teen years then pranking him? Of course, Niall and Harry shouldn't be having too much fun. Their times would be coming soon too.
Just then, Liam's phone went off, and I quickly answered it.
"Liam Payne's cellphone. Who is this?" I asked.
"Hello, Mr. Malik," a cool voice replied, who I instantly realized was the head of our management, Mr. Richards. "I hope you do not seriously need to know who this is."
"Right," I murmured. "Sorry, Mr. Richards."
"It should be okay," he said. "Can you get the rest of the boys in the room?"
I quickly covered the speaker part of the phone, and called out, "BOYS! MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO TALK TO US!" Niall was the first to enter the room, holding a burger from Nando's. I just sighed at that. Harry walked in maybe three minutes later, lookin exhausted, with Louis right behind him, who was bounding up and down. I figured Lou probably woke Harry up, who was having a nice nap.
I quickly put Mr. Richards on speaker, and then said, "Okay, Mr. Richards, we're all here and present."
"Good," Mr. Richards said. "Listen closely. We got a call from a Mr. Ryan Murphy, and he has said he wants One Direction, that being you guys, on the fifth season of his hit show Glee."
"Wait, Ryan Murphy wants us to be on Glee?" Niall asked, sounding excited, while spitting chunks of his sandwhich out. I grimaced as it got all over the floor. How he could be such a slob was beyond me.
"Yes," Mr. Richards replied, as though Niall was asking a dumb question.
I couldn't blame Niall for asking it though. Glee was only one of our favorite shows. We all "loved the show so much, and I honestly couldn't believe that we were being offered to perform on it.
"We accept," Liam said quickly.
"Okay," Mr. Richards breathed. "There will be a plane coming to get you tomorrow morning."
BRITTNEY POV
I couldn't believe this. Here I was, with my two best friends, Matthew and Ashtyn, to audition for the fifth season of Glee. I wanted to be on this show more than anything in the entire world. This was my favorite show, and I watched it ever week.
"Brittney, come on," Matt said, smacking my head. "Stop daydreaming. Focus on the one song we'll be singing together."
We had gotten permission from Ryan Murphy (yes the Ryan Murphy) for us to audition all together. We were going to be singing Love Interruption by Jack White.
We had to wait a half-hour, before we were finally called on to come in. There was Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck, and Ian Brennan.
"Are you the three who are auditioning together?" Ryan asked.
"Yes," I breathed. "My name is Brittney Sternitsky."
"I'm Ashtyn Nickols."
"The name is Matthew Chand."
"We'll be singing Love Interruption by Jack White," we all three chorused together. We started singing the song.
(Brittney)

To roll me over slowly
stick a knife inside me,

I was freaking happy. Ryan looked shocked, and Brad looked happy. Ian didn't look too different, but then again, maybe that was how he normally looked.
However, they all promised us that we did a good job, and that they would call us if we got the positions. I just hoped we did. And I hoped that all three of us got the job together.
