I finally got up from school, for some reason knowing it's your last day of school makes you want to stay. I walked through to the front door making my way through the now empty house. "Hey Gemma. Hey mum," I called out listening to my echo.
"Hi." They replied simultaneously. I made my way towards the voices ending up in what used to be my mum's room. "So today's the day we skip town." I joked trying to make myself feel better.
"Yup," mum smiled. "You can grab a snack or something out of the food box. Then we will be loading up the truck so we can hit the road." I went to the kitchen and opened a box grabbing a fruit bar and a bottled water. We were probably going to stop for food on the way. So I figured this would fill me till then.
"You were joking, that's a good sign." Gemma said standing against the doorframe, "You ready to go?" "As ready as I'll ever be."

Soon we finished loading the moving truck. "I call front seat! Gemma exclaimed running in front me to sit in the passenger seat of the car. I rolled my eyes sitting in the back.
"Everyone ready?" Mum said just as excited as she was when she first told us the news. "Yup!" Gemma said. "Hmm" I hummed. I put my headphones on and start playing my music. All I do was stare out the window waiting. Eventually I dozed off.

"HARRY EDWARD STYLES! WAKE UP! We are not doing this alone!" I jumped up looking around confused. Gemma was beside me with the door open. She was holding my headphones yelling.
This is it. This is THE house. This is OUR house. It was pretty big. Much bigger than the old house. It was built of bricks with 5 stairs leading up to the red door. I actually started to get excited about it.
"Let's go,Gemma."
