~Dreaming Of Disney~

"Piper I'm scared. What if we can't find her in time? I know she's immortal but that doesn't mean she can't die, what if...?" I sigh. Well not me but my dark auburn-haired twin sighs. "Aurora, this is Artemis we're talking about. She's the goddess of the hunt, goddess of the moon and night, Artemis is so strong as to refuse love! If anyone is strong enough to do that then they are strong enough to do anything. Especially Artemis." The girl named Piper replies. Her voice is so sweet it even wipes away all of my worries. Al my doubts about the trip suddenly disappear. I don't care about learning who Aurora is, or how I'm going to help the boys. It all whisks away from the ethereality of her voice. She suddenly looks guilty because I see myself absent-mindedly nodding my brown-haired head. Suddenly the dream changes. I see screaming children everywhere all wearing those little Mickey ears hats that the theme-parks charge a fortune for. I look around and instantly recognize where the dream is. Disneyland. I hear the tune of "Its a Small World" playing in the background and smell freshly baked foods ranging from churros to burgers. My brown-haired doppelgänger suddenly appears with Piper, and the others who must be Annabeth, Kali, and Bea at her flanks. The little ones, Kali and Bea are cheering about something and everybody looks happy to be in the Magic Kingdom besides me. I look tense and scared. Then the dream fast forwards and I see my dream self, the dark-haired one, rushing towards Leo. Then I(dream self) turn and look straight at me, "Lyra! Lyra wake up!" The voice changes and everything goes black. I scream when I open my eyes. Leo is standing over me in my bed in the bunks at Camp Jupiter. "We've got to go." He says urgently. I agree. I know where we need to go and I feel as if he does to. I look him in the eye and we both nod. "Disneyland." We say in sync.

~Leo~

I don't remember falling asleep. I remember being up on Temple Hill with Lyra telling her about Aurora. After that its all a blur. I slightly remember hiking back to the bunks and crawling in an empty bed but it feels like a dizzy dream. But after that the memories are clear. I remember my real dream.

"Leo. I think we both know why I'm here. Really I want to stay longer to gossip about your love life but as you know Zeus has limited our interaction with heroes so I'll make it short. I've got a hint for you." The beautiful woman explains. I can't focus on a single one of her features. Her eyes seem to flicker from brown to blue to green, her hair changes from brown to red to blonde, and her skin becomes pale and dark in the blink of an eye. She sort of reminds me of Echo. As soon as I blink I can't remember what she looks like. Then I realize, "You're Aphrodite. Piper's mom." I state. She nods. "Okay so... You're princess awaits where even you can be Prince Charming. She sits in her castle waiting for true love's kiss. Maybe she's sleeping... I'm getting my fairy tales mixed up. Really the Greek myths are so much better especially when they're about me but I must say my son Walt did a wonderful job creating my very own princesses. Now go find you're love and my daughter before its too late!" she waves her hand and my eyes immediately open wide awake. That's when I run to Lyra. "Lyra! Lyra wake up!" I yell. She jolts awake and that's when we have the connection. "We have to go." I state. "Disneyland." We both say at once.

~Leo~

We stand at the edge of the Pomerian Line. Percy talking to Terminus about needing our weapons back. And Jason is saying goodbye to Hazel and Frank. Lyra, Ellee, and Aly stand off to the side awkwardly but when Jason finishes Lyra calls over Hazel. She mumbles something in her ear and a twinge of guilt passes over Hazel's face. But she looks as if the sky has been lifted off her shoulders. Only Percy and Annabeth know what that's really like though. "Guys we should really get going." I say. Everyone nods. Suddenly Percy and Jason burst into action fighting and whistling at the top of their lungs. I guess everyone is as confused as me because all the girls' faces match mine of confusion. Then I look up into the sky when I hear horses whinnying. The one in the lead is who I know as Blackjack the Pegasus. Trailing behind him is Jason Ventus horse, Tempest. Percy is shouting and cheering when Blackjack's hooves hit the ground. Barely a second later Tempest lands but Blackjack already won and Jason looks angry. "It's okay big guy." He whispers to Tempest. Percy mounts Blackjack and holds his hand out to Ellee. She takes it and hops up on the Pegasus with a look of awe and shock. I climb up on Tempest with Jason and I've got to say this horse always freaked me out. I faintly see Lyra studying Blackjack as if trying to imagine him as a dog. I look at her with confusion and she catches my eyes. With a smug look she backs away and starts to change form. In seconds she has feathered wings sprouting from her back and her enter body is that of a horse. She looks exactly like Blackjack except purely white. Aly jumps up on her back and she shakily ascends into the air followed by Blackjack and Tempest. In less than an hour the horses have descended and dropped us off at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. I smile. I've never been to Disneyland. "How are we going to get in?" I ask. For a summer day the place is a lot less packed than i would think it would be. Although i must say it is hot. Jason starts to fly. "I'll search for a side entrance." He states. "No need." I say. About half a mile away I see a maintenance door. Jason picks me up and drops me by the door. I summon a screwdriver and a paperclip from my tool belt and in seconds the door is open. "Voila!" I say. We all step through and the first thing I see is wires. A lot of wires.

"Let's just get out of here as quick as we can. I want to ride a roller coaster!" Ellee says. As soon as it leaves her mouth though I hear a loud thump. Then a hiss like a snake and an electrical circuit. I don't know how I know but I yell out, "Eidolons!" Percy, Jason, and Leo look terrified. Ellee and Aaliyah just look confused. I don't even know what an Eidolon is. Suddenly the wires start to slither across the room. We all watch, terrified. Percy is the first one to uncap riptide and start slashing as the wires start to attack. But sparks spew as the blade clashes, the wires remain unscathed. Percy backs away in disbelief. "How can we destroy them?" Ellee asks. Suddenly it hits me. "Distract them," I say. "Percy, Jason get everyone out when I say go." They nod. Percy and Jason keep slashing with their swords and Lyra, Ellee, and Aly stand off to the side trying to stay out of harm's way. I sneak around the back to the control panels. I examine the system and start pressing buttons. My fingers fly across the keys and flip switches as the Eidolons gain on my friends. I look back and the wire-snakes are about to shock Percy. I finally press the last button and all the power goes out. The girls scream. It's pitch black and I can't be sure what the Eidolons are up to. I produce a small flame just light enough for us to see and everything looks clear. "We didn't kill them. Only their host bodies." Jason says. "Let's go then!" We hurry out into the light and emerge into "The Place Where Dreams Come True." We've arrived in Disneyland.
