Chapter Three-World of Life

Everything is dark and I can't see a thing. All I hear is my name being called over and over again.

"Jade!"

I run towards the sound.

"Jade!!!"

I keep running until I see the smallest fragment of bright white light and jump into it's embrace.

"JADE!!!"

I bolt upright screaming, scared out of my mind.

"Jade you're alive!!!"

I look up and see Ethan alive and well. I grab him by my arms crying into the crook of his neck.

"Ethan...I thought I died!!!" I sob.

"It's alright...your safe now," he reassures me as he hugs me tight.

"Where's Ayden, is he alive?" I ask.

"You killed him, he's dead for good," he says shaking his head.

"Now the throne is yours."

I see sadness in his eyes knowing that I will have to leave him behind.

Royalty can't marry a simple human.

"I better go... your being crowned tomorrow."

I think of all the things we've been through together. All the pain and memories we've shared. I'm not going to let him go.

"Ethan..." I whisper and lunge myself in his arms breathing all of him in.

"I've got a idea."

The next day I walk down the hall of the throne room. My father, friends, the entire kingdom is here.

Ethan is here too, smiling along with the priest.

I make my way down the aisle and stand by Ethan's side.

The Priest lays a small golden crown on my head.

"Jade Riff I crown you Queen and ruler of all of Mundi Vita," the priest declares.

I stand towards the entire kingdom and then declare my first decree.

"As my first day of Queen I declare any royal heir may choose who she or he wants to marry, as the twenty third law of Mundi Vita."

I turn back around and face Ethan who's standing there beaming, because the priest isn't finished yet.

"Do you Jade Riff and Ethan Fay take each other to be both husband and wife?"

"I do," we both tell the priest simultaneously.

"Then I pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride!!!"

"I finally get to have the man I've always dreamed of," I tell Ethan.

Ethan almost falls over with laughter.

"What's so funny?" I ask, very confused.

"You called me a man," he smiles, turns straight around, and screams to the entire kingdom.

"I'm a man!!!"

I laugh with him and then I see a look of shock on Ethan's face as he turns back around.

"What?" I ask.

"I've just never see you in a dress before," Rick smiles.

"I trust that you like it?" I smile back

"I do trust you. I love you Jade. Always have and always will."

He takes me in his arms and kisses me like there's no tomorrow.

The kingdom cheers celebrating our marriage.

Now I think I finally understand why Mundi Vita means world of life.
