It was Saturday afternoon and I was riding my bike to Lainie's house since my parents didn't want to drive me there.
I got off my bike and walked up to her door and knocked. "Helloo." Bobby answered pulling me into a hug. "Hi is Dinger here yet?" I asked him as he pulled me into the house. "Don't worry your boyfriend will be here soon." He then messed with my hair as I laughed a little.
I walked upstairs to Lainie's room as Bobby stayed downstairs for Dinger to get here. "Are we changing into our suits now?" I asked as I started to pull clothes out of my bag. She nodded as we then started to get undressed.
I pulled my t shirt over my head. "Elle!" Lainie pointed at me and started laughing. "What!" I brushed my hand through my hair looking at her concerned. "Is that a hickey!" She bursted out laughing. "Yeah so what if it is." I covered it with my hand.
She then pulled her shirt off and I looked at her. "Looks like I'm not the only one." I pointed at her and laughed. She looked at me and was trying not to smile but she did anyway.
A few minutes passed. "Cmon hurry up." I begged as I was waiting for her to find a suit she wanted to wear. "If you want to go that bad then go I'll meet you down there." She said shooing me off. I then grabbed my t shirt and held it in my hands.
I opened the door and started walking down her hallway as I was then startled by Dinger walking out of one of the rooms. "And there she is!" He looked at me up and down biting his lip. I rolled my eyes and slid my t shirt over my head as he then put his arm over my shoulders and pulled me to him.
We walked downstairs to Bobby looking through the fridge then Lainie's mom walked in. She took a look at us as we stood still. "You guys aren't going swimming in the pool right?" She looked at us. "No?" Bobby furrowed his eyebrows as Lainie then walked downstairs.
"Lainie I thought I told you no swimming in the pool this weekend we have to keep it clean for the party in a few days." She walked over to her mother. "I thought you were joking." She laughed.
"Well I wasn't. Go swimming in the lake or something but be careful I'm not going to be home tonight." She told Lainie who crossed her arms as we stood there listening. "Fine mom." She then turned around to us as her mom walked out of the house.
We were chilling in the living room just talking to eachother as we would have to walk to the lake through the woods or walk all the way around town and we weren't ready for that little adventure.
"Shit did you here that?" Dinger said looking back out the window then sighing and rolling his eyes as we all heard thunder then it started to pour. "What now? Are we just going to have to go swimming in the dark when the rain calms down?" I asked as they all sighed.
"Guess so." Bobby said.

It was 8:00 and the sun was starting to go down and the rain finally cooled off. "Alright let's go!" Bobby said grabbing his towel and Lainie's hand then running out of the house.
"Are you going to grab my hand too?" I sarcastically asked Dinger holding out my hand as he grabbed his towel off of the couch. "Nope." He said then grabbed my butt as I jumped and hit him with my towel. He then hit me back and now we were fighting with our towels. "Stop!" I hit him in the arm with the towel giggling. "Hey your lucky I'm not tickling you!" He laughed then wrapped his arms around me making me stop then he kissed my forehead.
"Cmon you two love birds we don't got all night!" Bobby popped his head in through the door and I felt Dingers arms let go of me and we ran to catch up with them.
We finally arrived at the lake that was on the other side of town. There were docks and boats but none that belonged to us but Lainie did own a little spot so we walked to that. It was quiet since it wasn't right next to the road and no one was hanging out there at night.
Me and Lainie stood there as Bobby and Dinger were at the edge of the dock getting ready to jump in. "Why are you guys just standing there?" Bobby laughed and Dinger patted him on the shoulder as they then both jumped in. "Is it cold?" I walked up to the end of the dock. "I don't know how about you find out." I heard Dinger say as he then tackled me into the water I could then feel Lainie jump in after.
I felt his arms around me still as we were in the water. "Cold?" He asked I then put my arms around his neck. "Nope." I shook my head. "Good." He spoke then dunking me into the water. I squealed and laughed as we were then all splashing water at eachother.

We were all done swimming and messing around and as it got darker it got colder so we decided to head back to Lainie's house for the night.
I felt shivers run through my body as we stepped out of the warm water which it probably wasn't but it felt like it compared to the air. I dried off as everyone else did. "Did you bring a jacket?" Dinger looked at me as he felt bad that I was standing there shivering. "Yup." I then pulled it out of my bag. "Which one?" He looked at me taking the towel and drying his hair off. "Your denim jacket." I paused and smirked. "Which is now mine." I giggled and threw it over my shoulders.
I could see his blue eyes as the moon was giving me enough light to see them clearly and the little smirk that he had on his face as he saw me in his jacket. I blushed and looked away even though he wouldn't be able to see my face turn pink in the dark. I peeked up through my damp hair and he was still looking at me holding his towel in his hands as if he were admiring me by every little inch and making me feel like Lainie and Bobby weren't even there and it was just me and him.
"Last one to the house has to order the food!" I then looked up and saw the three of them taking off. I huffed in anger knowing that I was already losing then started running after them.
I made it to the house as they just got there themselves. "Alright sorry Elle, you got to order the pizza." Bobby opened his arms for effect as I stood there staring at them all because they all knew I was too shy to and I always made one of them order our food.
"Whatever." I said crossing my arms and stomping inside.
I walked over to the phone and began to dial a local pizza place that they could deliver.
"Hello, this is pizza place speaking how may I help you." I heard the lady speak on the other end and I already felt nervous to speak. "Uh-" I spoke then felt Dinger pull the phone out of my hands. "Uh yeah hello can we have 2 pizzas with pepperoni only." He said. "Yes that's it." I heard him say as he looked up at me and smiled and lightly winked then he hung up. Either he interrupted me because he was annoyed that I would take to long to say one sentance or he actually cares how I feel about talking to other people.
"25 minutes guys!" Dinger jumped then plopped himself on the couch. "What are we going to do for 25 minutes?" Lainie laid down on the floor. "Well I'm going to get dressed while we wait." I started to walk upstairs. "Can I come?" I heard Dinger say. "Dinger I'm getting dressed." I told him smirking. "Yeah and so am I." He then quickly jumped off the couch and ran to me.
I ran up the stairs as fast as I could to get to the room before he could. I could here him giggling behind me as he chased after me and I couldn't help but giggle a little myself.
I managed to run into the room and close the door and lock it before he could get to me. "Maybe next time babe." I told him through the door as I smiled to myself. "Yeah, yeah okay." He lastly said then I could hear him walk away.
