Académie des espions

Chapter 1

Lauren began to walk down the main street just on the outskirts of Louth, the town where her prestigious spy school Académie des espions was located. The spy looked left to right to take in her surroundings, as it wasn't often that she was able to walk into town as a Ordinaire or a person who wasn't part of her world. The world of spies. Looking up from her pamphlet Lauren realised that she had been walking in the completely wrong direction to where she was supposed to be heading for her mission. Quickly looking around for somebody in the area to ask for directions, Lauren barley noticed that she crashed into somebody that, mind you, could have given her directions.

"Oh I'm so sorry, Let me help you with that!" Lauren quickly grabbed the belongings of the boy lying on the ground in front of her, able to steal a quick glance at him. He was cute, his auburn brown hair, olive skin, deep brown eyes that glistened in the sunlight, if only she was able to actually have some form of relationship with him.

"No, it's fine!" He replied, morphing his face into a charming smile.

"Actually, I was wondering if you could show me to the town center, I'm new around here you see, just getting to know my way around..." Lauren trailed off uncertainly, she had been trained in the art of lying at her Académie des espions, but she was never good at it. Waiting for his response, Lauren looked at her feet praying for the best.

"Oh! No wonder I haven't seen you around before. I'm Aaron, Aaron Cefai." Aaron respond truthfully.

Lauren was forever thankful that he brought the lie that she had just told. Flashing him her pearly whites she introduced herself.

"Lauren, Lauren O'Connor." Her expression changed quickly. Panic rose through her. She had just told an ordinaire her real name, not her couverture name, her real name.

Following Aaron to the town center, Lauren was praying that the major mistake that she had just made hadn't been picked up by her intercom, if it was the she would face terrible consequences. Lauren focused on clearing her mind. She would not and could not be expelled from Académie des espions, she only had less than a month before graduation. 

"Hopefully, I can see you around soon!" Aaron exclaimed,  flashing his pearly whites at Lauren once more.

"Yeah, Hopefully.." Lauren trailed off, she couldn't break anymore of her school's rules, especially when she only had one month left at school.

"Actually! You should be going to my school right! Only one around, Louth Public School! Wait, unless you end up going to the posh private school on Fourth Street." Aaron spoke those last few words with disgust. He had never liked the Posh school from up the road. 

"Um, well actually, I think I am going to St Margarets Catholic. On Fourth Street." Lauren had never thought that the people of the town had shown this much disgust towards her 'posh private school.' 

"Anyways, thanks for the help, it's much appreciated. I guess I'll see you around!" Lauren turned to leave, trying no to make this conversation any more awkward than it already was. 

"Hey! Even though you're going to the school that I, um, highly dislike, I guess that we could still keep in contact. What's your number?" Surprisingly, not many girls from Aaron's school were into him, girls these days liked the sport type and Aaron was most definitely not that. So when he saw the opportunity to give a girl, who clearly didn't know what girls were usually into, his number.

"Um, ok. Sure here." Lauren scribbled her number onto a receipt and handed it to Aaron. She didn't feel bad about giving him her real number, it wasn't against any rules that she was aware of, so she was ok with that. 

"Thanks! I'll make sure to call. See you 'round." Aaron turned and began to walk in the opposite direction to Lauren.

Lauren was left to her thought about this boy. She wasn't sure if she should pursue her feeling for this boy. She had a boyfriend after all. But something was off with him, she could tell she would have to break it off with her beloved soon.
