I couldn't breathe. Luke. Luke Hemmings. Luke frickin' Hemmings wanted to hang out with me?!? Why? I looked up into his blue eyes, that were substantially above me. "Yes. Of course. Yes." I stuttered, making a fool of myself. His face lit up like a Christmas Tree. "Yay!" he shouted, making the clerk of the store look at us awkwardly. I laughed at the clerks expression. "So what are you looking for?" I asked Luke, who had casually draped his arm around my shoulder. I was basically under him. I'm only five feet, six inches, so Luke is a skyscraper and I'm an ant on the ground.

"Uhm." he looked at the rack of shoes. "I need some shoes?" he asked himself, picking up a sneaker off the rack. "Okay." I nodded. I looked at the bottom of the rack, where the cheapest, on clearance, shoes are. Luke looked at more shoes.Just as I found black converse , Luke poked me in the shoulder. I was knelt on the floor, so now I was an ant.

"Don't you want those ones? You were drooling over them earlier." he laughed, turning his head to the side. "Well, no, I kind of cant get them, but whatever." I explained, trying not to look like an idiot. He extended his hand and helped me up."Hmm." Luke looked at the black shoes, and back to the sparkly ones. "Okay then." he shrugged and sauntered off to the clerk. He talked to the clerk for a few moments, motioned to the rack of shoes, and then to me. I turned away and tried to look less stalker-y.

Luke walked back up with a box of shoes. "Okay. I've got mine." he smiled. "Alright." I smirked back. I got up to the clerk and told him what ones I wanted. He reached under the counter and handed me a crisp black box. I handed him what was left of my money. He handed me my receipt, and three dollars. He told me to have a good day. "You too." I smiled.

I walked back over to Luke who was now by the door, looking at the surrounding shops. "Hey, I was wondering if you'd want to get some food.." He looked at the ground, and blush rose up his cheeks. "Sort of a date." he finished. I'm pretty sure if I wasn't in front of Luke I'd be cheering and screaming. "I'd love to." I bit my lip.

Luke and I walked through the mall. Luke pretty much started drooling when he saw Chick-fil-a. "Want Chic-fil-a?" I asked, already knowing his answer. We walked to the counter and Luke ordered enough food for five people. He stepped back, and looked at me. He leaned in and whispered, "Get anything you want babe, on me." He leaned away and I was in shock. Why was this internationally famous band member being so nice to me? "Thank you so much." I whispered back.

I ordered a salad, fries, and a drink. After the short wait, Luke and I carried our food to some couches that were in a more secluded area. We set our shopping bags on the ground along with our food bags. I sat on the couch, more toward one side. Luke plopped down next to me, so close that our legs were touching. Luke stuffed his face with a sandwich. I couldn't help but laugh. "Heh durn mer furn er meh." he mumbled with his mouth full, which just made me laugh more.

"How old are you?" he asked between bites. "Seventeen." I answered. "School?" he prodded. "I'm a senior." I sighed as I popped a waffle-fry in my mouth. Luke continued with his interrogation. "Name?" he said, his voice muffled my the food he was scarfing. "Juliet. Juliet Banks." I answered. "But you can call me Sunshine, if you want." I placed my empty salad container into the bag.

"Do you want to shop more?" I asked, turning the questions to Luke. "Yeah, of course." he nodded. Luke stuffed his garbage into the bag. "Let me." I said, grabbing the bag from him, and then going to the nearest garbage to throw it out. "We should put our new shoes on." Luke decided. "I guess." I mumbled. I sat again and grabbed my shoe box.

I carefully pulled the lid off the box, and pulled back the protective paper to see the shiny silver sneakers I'd wanted. "Luke, what. No. This isn-" I was cut off by Luke, who had put his hand over my mouth. "It's a gift. Me to you. You aren't returning them either." he ordered. His hand was still over my mouth. I pulled his hand away. "No you cant ju-" Luke's hand once again stopped my sentence. "No returns." He smiled. I sighed, looking into Luke's blue eyes. This wasn't right. I couldn't just let him buy me shoes and lunch. This really isn't right. But the look in his eyes told me that he wasn't taking no for an answer. He finally removed his hand. "Put them on!" he giggled.

I slid my shoes off and carefully put the new shoes on. "Let me tie them." Luke smiled. He slid off the couch and grabbed my foot and tied the shoe, then doing the same with the other. "I cant believe Luke Hemmings is tying my shoes." I thought out loud. Luke chuckled. He stood up quickly. "The mall is pretty much rented out, so if you want to just give your stuff to my security as we walk, they'll take it to the security station and hold it until we're done." he offered. I looked around to notice the empty mall around us, except for a couple of men wearing black pants and shirts. "I guess." I shrugged. "Any of them?" I asked. "Yup." Luke shrugged.

I grabbed my bags and walked to the nearest guard, who I could now see his name tag that read 'Quil'. He looked twenty-ish. He had black hair that was shaved on the sides but long on top. "Hi Quil, I'm Sunshine, Luke said that you'd take my bags to the security office until we're done?" It came out as a question. "Yes ma'am. If you or Mr. Hemmings seem to be in any sort of trouble, just call for security, eh?" he had an Irish accent. "Okay. Thank you." I handed my things to Quil and walked back to Luke. "Let's get shopping!" I squealed. Luke had a way of bringing me out of my shell.

"Y'know, you can pick the stores." Luke said as we walked through the mall. "Okay th-oh my gosh we have to go in here!" I cheered, setting my sights on Bath & Body Works. Without thinking I grabbed Luke's hand and dragged him into the store. "This store is too pink." Luke commented. I let go of his hand. "Hey, come here." Luke laughed, grabbing my hand back. Once again, I was internally screaming. LUKE HEMMINGS WANTS TO HOLD MY HAND.
