The Hero of All

Betrayal

(Thoughts and Flashbacks will be in italics)
Percy POV:
As I ran away from camp carrying the pups as if they were a babies, I thought about everything that's happened until this point.
--------------------FLASHBACK--------------------
It was a year after the giant war, and the relationship with the Greeks and the Romans was growing. I was sitting at the Big House with my wise girl when a conch shell was heard, we all go to the pine tree, and see a boy with a dagger being chased by a hellhound. The boy closed his eyes and then the knife and surprisingly hits and kills the hellhound. Then there's a flash and Zeus is standing there. "This is my son, Zachary Morris, treat him with respect." As Zeus flashed out, Zach looked at everyone with a smug smile on his face." See that I just killed that monster thing with no training." Then he saw me and Annabeth and started flirting with her. "Hey beautiful" he said. To my surprise, she started blushing! But I thought nothing of it because come on, I fell in Tartarus for her, so I'm good right? Wrong. Left and right everyone flocked him like hungry birds on bread. Then he heard that I am the Hero of Olympus, well, he didn't like that. Slowly my friends started leaving me for him. The Stolls, Katie, Grover, The Seven (minus Annabeth), even Chiron left me for him. All I had were Clarisse, Chris, the Camp Jupiter and Annabeth, but Annabeth was drifting away.

I look at the sea and see it smashing against the rocks. "Why . . .?", I whisper as I remember the final blow that Zach did to me. . .
--------------------FLASHBACK--------------------
I was fiddling with a small box with something very special inside. I opened it to show a ring with 5 small grey diamonds and a big sea green one in the middle. On the side was Seaweed Brain and Wise Girl Forever. Tonight was the night I proposed. I had asked Annabeth to come to the beach for a picnic. I had just spent two weeks training, and I defeated Ladon, but left a head, so now it likes me more than Atlas himself! So I had twelve apples in a sack, I would use the others on my other friends, the ones that didn't betray me. I had come 30 minutes early to make sure that everything was perfect, when I saw Zach and some blond girl furiously making out. I thought it was just some daughter of Aphrodite or Athena. Then I heard them speaking. " When are you going to dump that sea scum loser?", Zach said. " I don't know me and Percy have been through a lot, but I'll do it when I next see him", she says to him. My heart broke at that exact moment. "Don't worry Annabeth I'm right here", I said with venom in my voice. " Percy!", she said nervously. "This isn't what it looks like." The wave started crashing, and surprisingly thunder started to rumble through the sky. "Then tell me, what is this?", I reply." This is. . .", she said before taking a sudden interest in her feet. " I thought it was me and you, always together, always by each other's side?" " Percy! It is always me and yo-", she said before I interrupted. "Do you know what I going to do tonight? I was going to have a nice picnic on the beach, then show you this ring", I said taking out the ring," and propose. Then I was going to give me and you one of these golden apples," showing her the sack of 12 golden apples. "But I Guess I can't now can I?" I said as I threw the ring at her. "Percy", Annabeth said sobbing on the ground. " Ha, I finally broke you! I took everything from you, your girlfriend, your friends, the Seven, and Chiron! I broke the hero of olym-." I stopped him with right hook, followed by a uppercut. "I wouldn't talk if I were you." I said menacingly. As I went to my cabin, I was stopped by Chiron and everyone who betrayed me minus Annabeth. " You, Perseus Jackson, is hereby kicked out of camp. You are the worst student I have ever had. Do not let me see your face again." I looked around and saw everyone glaring at me, I sighed and packed my stuff. Riptide, nectar and ambrosia, some drachmas, 100 dollars in cash, and the twelve golden apples. I looked at those, grabbed my stuff, and headed to the campfire. Everyone stared at me as I walked past. I dumped the twelve apples into the fire and growled ,"To the gods." The fire started swirling and glowing gold. Then it stopped and two creatures were in there.A white and blue wolf pup and a small gold and black wolf pup was sitting in the fire. Confused, I picked them up, and started running out of camp.

I stopped and laid the wolf pups down. The white and blue one opened its eyes and I saw the purest blue I have ever seen in hose eyes .  Then a feminine voice spoke in my mind. Perseus, thank you for creating us. "Wait, what? But I only dropped the apples in a fire." Yes, but if one of those can make a being immortal, then shouldn't twelve at least be able to create a few lives?"Well that's true", I mumbled. "But wait, how can you speak in my mind?" We are your immortal companions, We can teleport to you so we are always at your side. We will always be together.bWe will never betray you. "What's your name?." You haven't named me yet. "Ok, how about White Shadow, Shadow for short, for your name, and Ghost for- is that one a male?" Yes I am. I looked over so see the other pup with its golden eyes open. "Ok then Ghost for you. Now come on, we're going to stay at my moms for a while.
