I stood at the edge of the tallest building in the city I grew up in. I had felt worthless, alone, and unloved for so long that I had forgotten what love felt like. What affection felt like.. Of course I knew it, but I hadn't felt the happiness of love or friendship in months. My family had abandoned me, my friends hated me, and my boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend) despised me and never wanted to even hear of me again. 'If I jump now, the pain will finally end. I'll be free of it,' I told myself. I took one last breath of the cold city air, and leaped off the 10 story building. When I hit the ground, everything went black, and my body went numb. My brain began to shut down. "No... you poor girl! I won't let you leave this earth so soon! It isn't your time to be with the Savior quite yet!" I heard a man scream when I regained consciousness, 20 minutes later. I was alive, in a hospital bed, with a man holding my hand as he stood beside me. "Dear, what had happened to you? How did you end up on the ground?" he asked. "I jumped off of Seminals. I wanted to end my life. I'm worthless and no one cares about me," I told him. "You are not worthless, child. Let me bring you to our Father when you recover. He will help you find your purpose in life," he encouraged. I wasn't sure about it, but I agreed anyway. A week passed, and I was out of the hospital. The man escorted me to the nearby church and told the pastor everything that had happened. The man left, and I stood in the middle of the church, as the pastor looked at me with sorrowful eyes. "What is your name, child?" he asked. "Rianne," I replied. "Rianne, follow me. My name is Father Aston, but you can call me Kenny," he told me. He lead me to a bedroom attached to the church. "Sleep, my daughter. Sleep sweetly, dream sweetly and have a pleasant night here," he said softly. He went into another room and slept there. In the middle of the night, I woke up screaming and crying from a terrible dream. Kenny rushed into my room, and cradled me in his arms, holding me close. "Shhh.. there is no one who can hurt you. I will sleep here with you, to ensure your comfort," he whispered, getting under the blankets of the bed. He had his arm around me, and suddenly I was pulled under him. "I want to make sweet, sweet love to you. Right here, right in this moment," he said softly. He moaned as he reached up my skirt, stroking my pleasure center. He took off my clothes, and touched me until I couldn't take the pleasure. It was so wrong, yet it felt all too right.
I was given the chance to live again.
