Chapter 1:

R E N E E:

"Renee get up!!!," my older brother Nate screamed.

"OMG! Stop bugging I'm up now."

It's currently Monday morning and my first day of school.  I'm going to start my sophomore year in a new school since we moved from New Jersey to California.  I forced myself out of bed couple minutes after Nate woke me up.

I run into the bathroom to get in the shower as  I saw my left thigh I saw my scars and flashbacks came in my mind. I start tearing up with those horrible moments I have in my life that effected me.

As I get out the shower I start picking out my outfit for the day. I picked out my black ripped jeans and my white Fenchi shirt and put on my black and white converse. Putting on my black liquid eyeliner making my blue eyes stand out. I apply small amount of lip gloss and walk out my bedroom door bumping into my stupid brother.

"Hey, morning sleepy bird."

"Don't call me that. And morning."

"Go downstairs mom waiting for breakfast."

"Aren't we going to be late for school?"

"Nah kid, we will get there on time."

"Alright."

Back in out old school Nate was the heartthrob... but we moved. He is two years older meaning he got his license and he is a senior.

As I make my way downstairs my mom was in the kitchen attempting to make breakfast.

"Mom! Did u burn something?" Nate had asked her.

"Um...yeah..." She replied back.

"Mom we will just go to school." Nate told her

"Ok, see u in the afternoon."

I said bye to mom and told her I was gonna see in the afternoon which I highly doubted because she was always working.

Nate drove me to school and be parked at the back of the parking lot. As I got out of the car I saw all the groups there were. A lot of the people were looking at us, which I hated. I really hate the center of attention but I was confident about myself... really hoping no one ruins that for me.

Nate and I walked to the front office to ask for our schedules.

"Um... Hello good morning we are new here and we were told to come to the office and ask for our schedules." My brother told the secretary lady

"Oh. Yeah here are your schedules Nate Herrera and Renee Luna Herrera?"

"Yes that's us thank you."

"Your welcome and Renee let me get your tour guide to show you to your classes."

"Um... Okay." I had told her.

"See you after school okay Renee." Nate told me before walking out the office.

"Okay." I replied.
