You were working at your desk when you heard his  voice. That stupid southern accent that you fell for a few years ago. You tried to get back to your work of getting the particulates out of the victims hair, as well as the maggots.

"Hey there missy mind if I help ya?" he said, in that stupid accent.

"No, but thanks." you said, it being short and to the point. He looked at you funny, still having the same baseball cap from when you first gave it to him. You were a little touched that he kept it, but still. You finished grabbing everything and you brought it to Dr. Hodgins' office.

"Slow down there why are you so upset Y/N? Does it have something to do with the cowboy?" You just nod as he walks over to you. "Hey, I can see what I can do about moving him or getting you off work when he's working, okay?"

"No, he's wanted to work in a place like this since forever it seems, and I love it here and I will not ruin it for him because of something stupid." You say, wiping away a single tear. Hodgins looks at you, rubbing your arms. You take a couple deep breathes and walk out the door, straight into Finn, covering both of you in evidence. You look over at the giggling Hodgins, who is on the phone with someone.

Three hours and hundreds of apologies later, you and Finn were both declared evidence free. Hodgins was still super giggly, which prompted being hit by Angela several times. "What caused such reckless behavior by the both of you?" Bones said sternly.

"Well I'm used to the system of if we are rounding a corner with evidence, we make noise like a beep or something." you said, not looking at Finn.

"Well considering the fact that I thought she had her own office ma'am, I didn't think to take any precautions. It was my mistake, don't punish her for it." he said. You rolled your eyes. If working at the Jeffersonian, it was that there are almost never accidents when it comes to things like that. Bones shakes her head and sends us away.

At the end of the day, you walk out to your car and Finn jogs up to you.  "You never told me you worked here. If I woulda known I woulda stayed out of here."

"It really is okay Finn, as long as you don't try to make any moves on me okay? And also can we remember that we need to make sure that even if we do try again, that if it doesn't work out we need to be professional." you say, Finn nodding along with what you say.

"Would it be to upfront to ask if I can ask for a kiss from you? I just really missed you and I really didn't want to break up with you, but I had work and other stuff come up."  You smile up at him and hold out your hand.

"You better use those country manners I know your mom put in that stupid smart head of yours. So how about dinner and a movie first?" He smiles at you and takes your hand, walking you to a nearby restaurant.
