"Thanks for taking me out tonight. I really enjoyed it. But now we get to go back to the lab." You said to Finn. He nods, the two of you had gotten the call about an urgent case at the lab. The two of you worked out a story on why the two of you were together at the bar.

"Hodgins, what's the story behind the urgency?" You ask your boss. He shrugs and nods towards the door where his wife stands.

"Hey Y/N, Brennan asked me to bring everyone in, she said something about an old case that's been in limbo for a while now. Ten minutes and we meet on the platform, both of you." Angela says, walking out to go tell the others probably.

"So why were you and Finn together tonight? And don't bother to lie, I can tell." Hodgins said.

"Finn and I were in a relationship for a couple of months and we broke up when I moved away. And we were out for drinks so we could catch up. We were going to go to the movies but then we got the calls to come in. Happy now?" You tell him. He has a smug smile on while he nods yes and wheels himself out to the platform.  You walked up the stairs and walked over to the body, looking at the evidence around it.

"This case walked through the doors four years ago. We couldn't solve it then, but I have confidence that this team can do it now." She says, lowering the table with some evidence slightly. You and Hodgins walk over and grab the evidence and go down to your lab.

"So how long until you were going to tell me at least?" He asks, taking samples and putting them under the microscope.

"Probably not, we were dating in the past and we were catching up," you say, taking some samples over to the mass spec and putting them in.  "Besides, it is purely platonic at this point," you add, pushing the buttons to start the machine.

"Look at this," he says, turning on the Tv connected to the microscope, showing the mutated cells.

"Finn, Brennan, get in here Hodgins found something!" you say, projecting your voice enough to be heard clearly. Finn got there first, of course, walking in and looking at the bugs right near you before Brennan got there.

"Firefly, maybe a warm breakfast and a nap would work better with this job, huh?" he asked, standing next to you and reading about some of the evidence that was cataloged when the case first came in from off of a separate monitor, which you still needed to read.

"What did you find Hodgins?" Brennan asked, Agent Booth following behind her.
