Rin convinced Suguro to let him be alone for awhile, and after a few minutes of debate, he left Rin sitting on the grass and returned to his own dorm building, studying and spacing out until Shima finally tapped his shoulder and said it was lights out.

Though, Suguro wasn't tired. He was wide awake, unable to sleep as he stared at the ceiling with narrowed eyes. He truly wanted to murder whoever decided to harm Rin, and he had a feeling it was the two boys from the other night. The cuts were new, and Rin definitely didn't do it to himself. If they were deep enough to scar, Rin would have passed out from the pain while doing it, and they were way to neat.

Suguro sighed and turned his head, staring out the window that was framed with see-through curtains. It was dark, well past midnight and well past the point of Suguro falling asleep. He sighed once again and sat up, pushing the sheets off of him and swinging his legs over the edge of his bed, resting his elbows on his feet and forehead in the palms of his hands.

What as he supposed to do? Study? Attempt to wake up his dorm mates? Both weren't even options. So, with a huff, he grabbed his shoes next to the floor of his bed and slipped them on, tucking the bottom of his sweatpants in them, grabbing his jacket and throwing that on as well.

Silently, he left the room, trekking down the hall while running a hand through his hair. There truly was nothing else to do, so he planned to wander the yard until he finally tired himself out or time to return for classes.

He found himself near the spot where he confronted Rin, where he found the half demon and argued with him, hugged him and told him everything would be fine as long as he were there.

Suguro sighed at the haunting thought of Rin’s wounds, running a hand through his hair as he continued his directionless walk, but stopped not even moment after when a shadow caught his eye.

Someone was laying in the spot he found Rin just hours ago in the grass. Quietly, Suguro changed his course and walked towards the figure, only to see it was Rin himself in the spot. From a few feet away, with the help of the light from the stars and moon, Suguro could see Rin’s face just enough.

He looked to be sleeping, lips parted just slightly to let out small breaths, one hand across his chest and the other lying on the ground beside him. The male raised an eyebrow when he saw that Rin was still wearing his jeans and shoes. He had been there all night.

“Are you going to keep staring or come sit?” The voice made Suguro snap out of his thoughts to finally notice that Rin’s eyes were open and looking back at him. The brunette sighed and rolled his eyes, before moving over to sit next to where the other layers.

“Why are you out here, Okumura?” Suguro asked, only glancing down to him for a moment before staring ahead, the sounds of ruffling from Rin moving around distracting him.

“Was watching the stars, then fell asleep,” he answered simply, motioning with a lazy flick of his wrist towards the sky. Suguro follows it, tilting his head back enough to gaze at the stars, resting his arms over bent knees.

“Have you been out here the entire time?” He asked, looking down at the bluenette and raising a brow. Instead of vocally answering, Rin just hummed an ‘mhm’.

“You… stayed here when I left?” Suguro asked, just to clarify his first question. Rin home once more. Eyes now closed. It went quiet after that, RIn’s tail flicking in contentment next to him Rin sighed, going to open his eyes and say something to break the tension, but was silence when lips pressed against his.
