It looks peaceful and beautiful outside. I'm sitting in my office staring out the window enjoying the view. My office is on the top floor which has the best view of New York City. I love these moments where I get to look out and enjoy the beautiful view from my building. These moments are truly blissful. These are the moments that keep me going.
I return my gaze and focus back onto the pile of papers I have on my desk. I groan at all the work I still have to do but I don't complain. I've worked hard to be where I am and it wasn't easy at all but I'm happy it wasn't. I love being able to work hard for what I want and chasing after it and making it happen. People think and like to assume just because my family is rich things are handed to me. My parents raised us right and taught us to go after what we want and to work for it. If we want something then we go after it. Nothing was ever handed to us and I'm glad we were raised that way because whatever I got I knew that I worked hard for it with my bare hands.
That's how I have my company today. My father wanted to loan me money after I graduated from college and told him my plans but I declined. I wanted to do it by myself without my families money. I worked two jobs and saved up. With the money I saved up from working I started my company Valentina International Enterprises and here we are today one of the biggest companies of New York and around the world.
I'm very proud to say I did this on my own. With that thought I get back to work. I look through all the contracts and files and finish my work. I sit there for a second before hearing knocking on my door. I say a 'come in' and soon my PA Sophia makes her way into my office.
"Sorry to disturb you Ms. Valentina but I have here a few papers that need your signature."
"No need to apologize Sophia." I reply with a smile.
Sophia's been my assistant for about three years now. She's the best assistant I could ask for. She's hardworking, very focused and takes her job very seriously. She's never been late or has had a hiccup. After signing the papers I hand them back to her.
"You may go home now Sophia I'll see you Monday. Have a great weekend." I say dismissing her.
"Thank you Ms. Valentina you as well."
Once she's out of my office I gather my stuff and and take a few files with me and head out. I arrive at my penthouse shortly. I park my matte black Ferrari in my private parking garage and head up to the lobby. I say hello to the doorman and receptionist and head to my private elevator. The doors bing up to my penthouse and I quickly step out. I couldn't be happier to be home it's been a busy week and day. I leave my keys in my bowl that's on a table to my right. I then walk straight passing by my living room and straight up the stairs. I walk passing by two sets of doors leading to two other bedrooms. I walk pass a third door which leads to my office. I stop in front of a fourth door at the end of the hall which leads to my master bedroom. I quickly walk in and go straight to my walk-In closet and take off my shoes and and my purse away. I quickly change into a silk sleeping gown and head to the bathroom to do my nightly routine before bed.
I get in bed and pull the covers over me. It feels so good to be in bed. It's so soothing. I lay there staring out my full length Windows that are In front of my bed but across the room from where my bed is. I love this view not only do I get an amazing view at work I get an amazing view at home too. I lay there staring out into the night life before dozing off.
I suddenly feel hands wrapped around my shoulders shaking me disturbing my sleep. I open my eyes slowly only to find my best friend Kallie in front of me. I glare at her before pushing her hands off of me.
