Jealousy

Max's POV

I watch in horror as Daniella drops to the ground. What do I do? Crap! (Or let's just pretend I said that...) Iggy jumps and dashes to her side. He rubs her back and murmurs to her. Tears pour down her face and soon Fang is by her side too. Anger flames in me. Fang specifically said he would have nothing to do with this girl!

     What am I thinking? "Max, he is just helping. Trust me," Angel whispers to me. I nod and find silence surrounding us. Iggy has Daniella in his lap and is stroking her hair. Daniella stops her silent crying and lets go of her stomach.

     She slumps against Iggy, unconscious. Iggy cries out as Fang takes her away and dumps her on the lounge. Iggy is up in a flash and pins Fang against the wall. I jump to my feet. Iggy's eyes are full of flaming anger.

     "Don't touch her! How dare you throw her against the lounge, you arsehole!" Iggy yells at the top of his lungs. Fang struggles, blue faced, against Iggy's arm.

     I throw Iggy off and cradle Fang. Iggy turns at me, and that's when I realise how much Iggy loves this mistake. Then Angel pipes up. "Daniella is not a mistake, Max!"

     Oh no. Iggy launches at me, and kicks me in the stomach. I let out a very unattractive groan and stagger backwards. Iggy raises his arm to punch me when a female voice stops him.

     "Iggy!" Daniella says, and places her tiny hand on top of Iggy's. Iggy softens and turns to her. "Violence isn't a solution," Daniella whispers. Iggy turns to me and growls, the flame returning.

     For the first time in my life I feel absolute terror, even with Fang by my side. Daniella seems to sense his anger and she places a hand on his arm. He sits down but won't cease glaring at me.

     "Iggy? Iggy stop being mad please!" Daniella begs, and Iggy turns to her with a lovesick expression. He nods and she smiles at him. Then he takes her face in his hands and kisses her on the lips.

     I stare in shock.
