A/N- I really struggled with this chapter, I don't know why. And it's totally unedited and rushed, but I hope you all still enjoy it!! =D

Chapter 3

Time flew by and before I knew it I was in fifth period. Just one lesson before lunch, gym never fails to use up all my energy. By the end of each lesson I’m always panting for dear oxygen and failing miserably at cutting the lunch lines.

Gym truly sucks.

“Girls, you have two minutes to get dressed. Then meet me by the track field. No excuses.” Miss Roberts, our young, stuck-up gym teacher states in her dreadfully obnoxious voice.

She then proceeds to walk away with her nose stuck up in the air, like the snob she is. As soon as she leaves, all the girls in the locker room start rolling their eyes and mimicking her.

Yeah, she’s really loved amongst us girls. Note the sarcasm.

“Honestly, how the hell did she manage to even get a job here?” I grumble at Brianna whilst tying the laces of my gym sneakers.

“I mean for one, she can’t teach. Two, she’s always telling us about her life. Like we even care. And finally, she commits child labor. I wouldn’t even class it as ‘daily exercise’ anymore.”

Brianna and I share a look of mutual agreement before she responds. “Well she may not be popular with us females, but the boys seem to love her. My bet is she seduced the principal to get the teaching job.”

Just the mere thought of Miss Roberts seducing the principal in any way makes me shudder.

“Thanks a lot Bri! Now you’ve given me a horrifying mental image. I’m scarred for life.” I say in a whiny voice, giving Brianna an evil look.

She winks at me to aggravate me even more. “Don’t worry Shay; if you get any nightmares tonight, I’m always awake at two AM in the morning if you want to call me.”

I clutch her hand as we saunter out of the girls’ locker room and to the track field. From the corner of my eyes I see Trystan and Anton jogging towards us.

Only now realizing what she said, I release her hand from my grip and shift towards her with a confused expression on my face.

“Why in god’s name are you awake at two AM in the morning?” I take a swift pause before continuing. “Actually never mind, I’m better off not knowing.”

At this point, Trystan joins in the conversation. “What are you guys talking about?”

Brianna gives me a knowing grin, then turns to face Anton and Trystan.

“Oh you know – girl stuff.”

As expected, the two of them started cringing.

Boys.

They wouldn’t last a day being in our shoes.

Rolling my eyes at the duo, I give Brianna a pointed look. “I’m holding you onto that. So expect that phone call from me.”

Brianna simply shrugs. “Sure. It’s not like I sleep until two anyways. I’m mostly up thinking about life and what not.”

“How has this got anything to do with girl stuff?” Anton decides to butt in, being the nosey parker that he is.

“Everything.” Brianna and I simultaneously chorus, trying to freak him out.

Before Anton could respond, Trystan slaps him across the head.
