14 year old Scarlet Adams hated her life! If was horrific, as she said. Her dad was an alcoholic and her mom was a nasty woman, and both of them did drugs. Scarlet had a plan, to escape. Now, this plan wouldn't work unless everything went right. So on a Sunday night she slipped a small white and blue pill into her parents soup and sandwiches. Then she waited. After she heard two loud thumps. She went downstairs to the living room and saw her parents, not dead just passed out for a while. She waited until nightfall, grabbed a small bag, with some Ductape, a parachute cord, and an extremely sharp pocket knife, she also brought some matches and a lighter and a small first aid kit, and finally, she bright a small Septic Eye Sam keychain, and hooked it onto her bag. She shoved everything into the bag and jumped out the first floor window.

I couldn't think, I was in the heat of the moment, 13 years of living with those, those... Monsters! of course it took a few years of extensive talking and hacking the her uncles computer. To get those knock-out pills, but I didn't care about that right now, "I'm free!! Actually Free!!" I excitedly told myself, I started running and I couldn't stop, I hadn't been out of that stupid house in years! Suddenly I ran over a sharp rock, I grabbed my foot in pain, causing me to fall down a small decline. After a bit of rolling, I stopped. I looked around and released I was in the forest. "YES!!" I shouted . "IM FREE!!"

I had made up my mind, I had decide to climb a medium sized pine tree I tied my waste to a sturdy branch (hunger games style) and drifted off to sleep. I only got a few hours of sleep before I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and whistling. I untied myself and started to climb down, I jumped the remaining length. It was only about 3 feet but I had forgotten about my hurt foot and yelped in pain as I hit the ground I immediately took of my navy blue converse high tops and sock. I also took out the first aid kit and took some gauze and thoroughly rapped my foot until I could JUST fit my sock over the layers of gauze. I slipped on my shoe and started walking. My foot still hurt like all balls. But I started putting more and more weight on it, until I couldn't feel that much pain. I made a mental  note NOT to jump out of trees until my foot has healed.
