Jackson was still in the water while I sat on the shore soaking up the sun.
"Hey gorgeous." A random stranger said.
"Oh hi." I said uninterested.
"Need help with your sunscreen. My hands are good for other things to." He smirked.
His inappropriate comment made me feel very uneasy.
"No thanks." I said.
"Oh come on. We could get to know each other. My name is Scott." He said pulling his shades off.
"Look Scout, I'm not interested." I said rolling me eyes.
I mispronounced his name on purpose. I didn't care to know him. He seemed like he wanted to do other things then to get to know me.
"Look, I'm a good guy. You can trust me." He rubbed my arm.
"Don't touch me!" I said loudly.
He completely ignored what I just said and sat down next to me on my towel. His rough hand grasped onto my thigh.
"Get your hand off of me! I don't even know you. You can't just come up to me and touch me." I said moving my leg away.
He grabbed my thigh again but this time it was tighter. This made me feel scared. This creep doesn't know what no means.
"Hey!" The familiar voice said coming out of the water.
It was none other than Jackson.
"Why are you touching my girlfriend?!" Jackson pulled him by his shirt. "Leave now." Anger was present in Jackson's tone.
"Look, she never mentioned anything about a boyfriend." Scott smirked thinking it was a joke.
"He is my boyfriend. Now I think you should do as he says considering the position you're in." I said.
Yes I know I what I just said, but I was going along with it.
"See. Now why don't you go bother someone else." Jackson said pushing Scott away.
Scott walked away with balled fists. Anger was clearly shone on his face.
"Thank you so much. That dude was creeping me out." I said.
"You just called me your boyfriend!" He said excitedly.
"Only because I was playing alone to be convincing. Duh."
"Sure you were. Why don't you come into the water. It feels nice."
"I don't know." I said.
Jackson then picked me up bridal style and walked to the water.
"Be careful. Don't throw me in!" I yelled.
"Now why would I do that?"
"I don't know." I let out a laugh.
My arms wrapped tightly around his shoulders. In that moment I trusted him. He then unexpectedly spun me around.
"OK OK. I'm getting dizzy!" I said laughing hard.
"Haha. I don't think you've had enough." He said spinning me again.
I kept laughing to the point where tears came out of my eyes. "Stop!"
"Fine. You're no fun." He laughed.
Our eyes then met. This time I was the one leaning in for the kiss. Our lips met once again. His soft lips against mine just seemed right.
