Percy Jackson: the betrayed

we purposefully walk into medusa's lair

we were up and packed at dawn, waiting at the top of the hill for the rest of the crew to meet up with us.one hour later they started walking up, too deep in conversation to notice us.

" why did we have to get up this early?"leo complained.

"it's our one shot at ditching them before the quest starts."annabeth explained,"do you really want those creepy mask people wi-"

"creepy mask people?"zoe said, "really?"

"real touching, now i'm really looking forward this, weird t-shirt  people."bianca said, noting the camp shirt. all of were fighting to hold back laughter, while the seven just stared their mouths agape.

"you might want to close your mouths before you swallow a fly." luke noted, and with that we turned and walked down the hill to were argus was waiting, talking and laughing, while the weird t-shirt people scampered behind us, trying to recover their bearings.

 we had just got off a bus that took an unscheduled stopped on the side of the road, because annabeth was trying to convince Jason to take her invisibility cap and purposefully crash the bus when i got bored and snatched the hat. i put it on and snuck up to the bus driver and yanked the wheel from his hands causing the bus to crash.

"how could you!" annabeth shouted"do you not want us to find percy!"

we were standing outside the crashed bus when annabeth started yelling at me.

"i don't see how i did anything wrong."i stated, "besides i haven't crashed a bus in forever."

"yep," beckendorf stated,"he's always complaining about how he never gets to crash busses."

"come on annabeth,"piper said putting a hand on her friend's shoulder"let's keep going."

"fine."annabeth grumbled, walking off toward the woods. we walked in the woods for about a mile before we saw any sign of life. a large neon sign came into view.

"aunty em's garden emporium. " i said.

"i thought you were dyslexic."Luke said quizzically.

"i am." i responded. how in the world did i know that.i don't remember ever being here. it was then that noticed annabeth starting to walk into the emporium. i quickly ran after her with everyone else behind me.

we quickly ran into a lady wearing a veil, as if she was waiting for her fiancé to show up to get married.

"well hello there!"the woman said"i'm aunty em. now what would a group of children like you be doing here, in the middle of the woods. "

annabeth was at a loss of words as she stared at aunty em. i sighed a plan forming in my head.

"we're orphans" i blurted.so much for a plan.

"oh really" she said curiously.

"yes..."i said letting my instincts take over,"we are part of a..... circus caravan.... and if we ever.....uhh... got lost.... we were supposed to meet our...umm... ringmaster.... at........a..... gas station." 

"real smooth"ethan whispered.

"oh you poor things!"aunty em exclaimed,"let me get you something to eat."then she ushered us to a picnic table in the back and went to get us some food.

"how did you know?"annabeth asked.

"know what?"i said.

"that was the exact same explanation me and percy used when we came here."

suddenly aunty em burst in carting a cheeseburger and fries for all of us. we ate in silence and enjoyed the food, but when i looked around the rest of the team, besides annabeth and me were growing tired. it was then i knew we had to go.

"well thank you very much for the food but the ring mast will be waiting."i said,getting up.

"of course but first let me take your picture. i have so little visitors and i like to remember every one of them."

"yeah,"annabeth said "let's do that"i knew it was no suet argue with her so i followed everyone out and let her pose us in a position that had the creepy mask people standing behind a bench and weird t-shirt people sitting on it.

"alright,everyone."aunty em said"look right at me. now one....two ...-"

"don't look!"annabeth screamed as she pushed the weird t-shirt people to the ground. i immediately opened my wings to block my friends view of whoever this person was and i closed my eyes. we all crouched down and i started to crawl behind aunty em. i saw her standing over annabeth talking to her, probably trying to convince her to open her eyes.

slowly i snuck up on her, my dagger in hand.i heard tell annabeth that it was hopeless,she would never find percy. then i stuck my dagger into her back and she exploded into dust.
