*Gabby's POV*
I sat next to Blake and grabbed his hand.
"Can you feel that?" I asked
"No" Blake said his eyes not leaving our hands
"How about this one?" I asked as I touched his leg
He nodded no and I sighed.
"This?" I questioned as I touched his thigh
"NO I CAN'T FEEL ANYTHING!" Blake screamed "Does that mean I won't be able to play baseball?!"
I stared at him as I held his hand.
"Blake don't think about that" I said
"WHY NOT IT'S THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF!" He screamed
I stared at him in shock. It's not like it's the ONLY thing.... maybe it is. I heard sirens and looked up as Ben ran over to them. I watched as he talked to the people. I looked up at Angie and Dylan. Dylan wrapped his arm around Angie's shoulder because she was close to tears... she's really sensitive if you haven't noticed? I sighed and looked down at Blake again.
"You'll be ok" I said
He looked at me and nodded
"I'm not leaving your side" I added
He laughed and nodded. They ran over and placed him on a stretcher. I watched as he was being taken to the ambulance truck.
"Wait! Gabby!" Blake yelled
I ran toward him and walked as they were still bringing him in.
"I want your hand" Blake said
I reached for his hand and walked with them. He went into the truck and I climbed in behind them. I sat next to him and grabbed his hand again.
"Please don't leave" Blake said
"I'm not" I replied
I tightened my hand on his even though he can't feel it. He looked up at the ceiling of the truck. I sighed as the people told him everything will be ok. They also were doing tests to see if he can feel what they are doing. I went into my pocket and grabbed my phone. I dialed up Angie.
"Are you guys following us?" I asked
"We lost you guys after the fifth light. But Dylan and Ben know the hospital. We will be there as soon as we can" Angie replied
"Did you call up his parents?"
"Dylan will, we are at a red light"
"Alright. I'll talk to you soon"
"Don't leave his side Gab... he needs you"
"I know"
I looked at him and he closed his eyes as he was telling the people what happened. I sighed and looked at them.
"It was my fault. I shouldn't have stopped walking in the middle of the road" I interrupted
I can Blake was doing everything he can to avoid bringing me into the topic.
"Well, how did it happen?" The lady asked
"I was listening to a voice mail from my parents. I don't know I was just shocked and stopped walking. Then I noticed the speeding car, worst part is that I didn't even have time to move. I heard someone scream my name and next thing I know I'm on the floor with Blake" I replied
"Did you get hit by the car?" A man asked
"I thought I didn't.. but I felt pressure on my leg" Blake replied
