Chapter 4

We get to our next class and we give the teacher our slips. She signs them and then tells us where to sit. Sel sits behind me next to a guy named Justin. I waited for class to start, while I was waiting I pull out my notebook and start doddling until this guy sits down next to me. We just sit in silence until he says, "Hi. What's your name?" I sit there for a minute, I then say to him, "Hello. My name is Paris. What's yours?" He smiles and says, "Drew. Drew Black." We start chatting a little until he pulls out his phone and starts to text someone. "Wow, am I really that boring?", I think to myself. After he was done texting he puts his phone away says sorry to me. He said he had to text his brother about something.  I said it was okay.

We start of talking again. When I asked him about who his brother was, he stopped for a moment. He looked as if he didn't want to tell me. After what seemed like forever, he told that his brother's name was Zach. I wanted to ask him more about hisbrother, but I didn't. He then asked about my family and I told him. I told him to hold on for a minute. I looked at Sel real quick. She looks at me and nodded. I whipped out my iPhone 4s and unlocked it. I opened up a text message and started texting Sel. I locked my phone and put it away. I continued to talk to Drew. He asked me to give him my number. I said okay and wrote it down on a piece of paper and handed to him. He will text me in his next class. The bell soon rang and when I was getting up I looked over at Sel giving her number to Justin. When she done she walked up to me along with Cat. Cat walked us to our next class.

When we walked in I saw a couple of the sluts I saw this morning. When Sel and I sat down, we heard some of the sluts saying. They were talking about these guys named Zach and Andie and how one of the sluts was going on a date with one of the boys this weekend. I stopped listening to them and turned my attention to Sel. We talked about how boring this school is and about the guys we met earlier. When Sel was talking I felt my phone vibrating. I pulled it out and saw it was a number I didn't know. I opened and read the text. It was Drew. I texted back after I added him to my contacts. I turned back to Sel and I saw she was texting too. I turned back to my phone. I really should be paying attention, but then I think I shouldn't. I think for a minute and then decide to be on my phone. I mean it is only the first day. I start texting Drew. We text each other throughout the whole class. He told me to meet him near the lunchroom doors. I didn't get the chance to text him back, because the bell rang. Sel and I get up and walk towards Cat.

She leads us to the lunchroom. We tell her to meet us inside. She looks and sees Drew and then Justin. She smiles at us and tells us that she will find us and show us to her table. We say okay and Sel and I head towards Justin and Drew.  I get to Drew and he tells me that I need to stay away from his brother, Zach. I look at him in confusion and he says to me that I need to promise him that I won't fall for Zach's bullshit. I tell him I won't. He says good and tells me a couple more things about being careful. I nod and he then tells me that he has to go and sit down. He says that he will text me later. I say okay and he says goodbye and walks into the lunchroom. I go up to Sel and Justin. They are still talking. I wait for them to shut up and when they did, I look and Justin and shake his hand and tell him my name. He smiles and the same to me. 

I grab Sel's arm and drag her into the lunchroom. I see Cat stand up and walk over to us. She tells us to follow her. She then grabs our wrists and pulls us along. I flinch, it is a knee jerl reaction. She didn't grab hard, but her me it still hurt like a bitch. We stop at a semi-full table. I look at the people, I don't a single person. I turn my head to Sel and look at her with panic in my eyes. She looks at me, her looks says that she can't do anything. She then grabs my hand and holds it. She also pulls me closer to her. She does it as a way of protecting me. The people look at us in confusion. They must have seen what Sel did. Cat doesn't look at us the way everyone else is. Sel and I sit down next to Cat and this other girl who moves her chair sightly away from mine. I look at her, what the fuck is her problem? Whatever. I force a smile at everyone, they smile back. Sel is still holding my hand and keeping me close to her. They all start talking, they don't talk to us. No one is expect Cat. All of a sudden everyone shuts up and looks at the second lunchroom door. Sel and I look too. I want to see what is happening. I see the same people from this morning come in. I was shocked but at the same time I wasn't. Before I knew what I was doing my eyes were scanning the group for that hot guy I saw this morning. I didn't see him. I frowned, I felt this feeling of sadness. It hit me like a ton of bricks, I did what I do best. I pushed my feelings away. Ignoring them. My one skill I can do.

I see the group go sit at a table  near one of the windows. Everyone soon talks acting like nothing happened. Just like this morning. I looked at Cat and asked her who those people are. She tells me that the girl with the honey brown hair was named Barbra and she was a slut, but a big one. She also tells me that she was a crazy stalker and a said "attention whore." Cat then points out a boy I saw this morning, He had sandy brown hair and dressed like he shopped on Melrose Lane. Cat tells me his name was Andie and he was a filthly stinking rich. He was also a major heartbreaker. She points out the girl with the bad blonde hair I also saw this morning. She tells me that her name is Ashley. She also tells me that she is the second most used slut. She also says that Ashley is the dumbest girl that she has ever met. Cat then tells me about this guy, Sean. She tells me that he is the nicest out of all of them. She said that he wasn't a player or a heartbreaker. She says that they are kinda a thing. I smile at her. That's cute.

She starts to talk about someone when the guy I saw this morning walks in. Cat tells me that the guy I was looking at is  named Zach. She says that he is the biggest player and heartbreaker out of everyone. She also tells me that he is a bad boy. She says that he has a brother named Drew. That's crazy. Drew told me to stay away from his brother Zach. I wonder if... Holy shit. I figure it all out and realize that that is the same Zach, Drew warned me about. Cat then goes on and talks about the girl I saw kissing Zach's neck earlier. She tells that her name is Tanya. She tells that, Tanya is the biggest slut in the school. She says that if you ask Tanya to open her legs, she will do it in a heartbeat. Gross. She tells me that her and Zach are on again off again. She tells me that, that is all she knows. I thank her and turn back to the table.

Sel is still holding my hand and keeping me close. Then, out of the blue, some guy asks if I have a boyfriend. I tell I don't. He then starts to ask a question, but is cut off but this girl who screams, "OMG!!! I KNOW!! YOU ARE A LEBISAN!! AREN'T YOU????? THIS GIRL WHO YOU ARE HOLDING HANDS WITH AND CUDDLING IS YOUR GIRLFRIEND?!?! I'M SO SMART!! IT'S OKAY IF YOU ARE I MEAN NO ONE HAS A PROB--" I blush and then I get mad. I feel Sel starting to hold me back. I notice everyone is looking at us. Cat is shocked. I spy Justin and his mouth is wide open. I also see Drew and he is laughing. I then see Zach, with wide eyes. Everyone is waiting for a reply. I get up out of my seat and start yelling at the girl. "UM, EXCUSE YOU BITCH, BUT WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO EVEN SAY THAT TO ME? I'M NOT A FUCKING LEBISAN! IF YOU WOULD HAVE ASKED ME, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT THIS GIRL WHOSE HAND I'M HOLDING  AND HUGGING IS MY SISTER. MY ADOPTIVE SISTER. I REPEAT I AM NOT A LEBISAN. I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GAYS, BUT I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOU FUCKING YELLING THAT I'M A LEBISAN. NOW, IF YOU PLEASE, NEXT TIME ASK SOMEONE BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT! GOT IT?" I yell at the girl and she nods and says sorry. I nod and sit down. Everyone is staring. The bell rings and I see Justin come up to Sel and I. He looks at me and laughs and hugs me. I stand there frozen. He says that what I did was the best thing ever. I smile and say thanks. He then tells us that he will walk us to our next class. Let's see what happens next. I sigh and follow him.
