Castiel had been homeschooled most of his life. All through Elementary, Middle, and Freshman year of high school. Now he was a sophmore and he was being forced to the first ever public school he's been too. "Gabe please don't let dad make me" Castiel whined to his older brother Gabriel, who was getting ready himself for his senior year. Castiel was always the baby of the family. Everyone would always protect him. On his first day of kindergarten he had an anxiety attack and had to be sent home. He got a note from his therapist that he wasn't allowed to go to school until it was safe. And now it was. Cas had been doing better in public and hasn't had an anxiety attack in years. "I'm sorry Cassie but everyone thinks this is for the best. And I've been to that school my whole highschool life. Trust me it ain't that bad. I'll be there for you to show you around. I got a day off to show you so don't worry." Gabriel reassured his little brother and messed up his hair. "Gabe come on!" Cas fixed his hair quickly and straightened his buttoned down shirt trying to look presentable but not too formal. "BOYS WE HAVE TO LEAVE SOON!" They both ran downstairs and ate some cereal before rushing out the door and in their dads minivan.

When they showed up Castiel was a nervous wreck. He kept thinking everyone would stare at him and make fun of him. He is the new kid so he's expecting a lot of getting picked on. That's how the shows and movies always went. Gabriel got his backpack and got out of the van looking as ready as ever. "Dad I'm feeling sick I think I should stay home, let's go." Castiel said his hands shaking a little. His father, (season 11 spoiler) Chuck, looks at him through the rear-veiw mirror with a look of "don't try that, Cas." And Cas knew he wasn't getting out of this.

Gabriel opened his side door and practically threw Castiel out of the car. "Gabriel come on I don't wanna. What if they all make fun if me?" Gabriel was dragging his little brother to the front of the school to meet up with the front office. "Cas you're going in come on!" Gabriel yelled bringing more attention which made Cas even more nervous. "Gabriel shut up!" Castiel whisper shouted at his brother.

When they finally reached the office everyone seemed to know Gabriel. "Hey Mrs. MacLeod. This is my little brother Castiel. I just stopped by to remind you today I'm just gonna be showing him around." Rowena MacLeod, one of the secretaries, smiled a sort of creepy smile which freaked Cas out a little bit. "Well of course. Hello Castiel. Welcome to Lawrance High School. I'm sure these years will be amazing. We try our hardest to make all of our students feel at home." The way she said that last part sent a shiver down Castiel's spine. She had an accent that just gave you goosebumps. "Cmon Cas we need to check out your classes." Gabriel waved goodbye to everyone and Cas shyly walked behind his older brother.

While they were walking around all Castiel could focus on was the people staring. They were all looking at Gabriel but Cas kept thinking they were staring at him. He swore he saw some boy smirk at him but he didn't want to think much about that. They reached an empty room and Cas just awkwardly stood there as Gabriel looked around. "Let me see your schedule" Cas handed his brother his schedule and Gabriel opened the door. "This is gonna be your first class. No one is in here because they're getting the same tour you are. New grade, new classrooms. But I had a talk with the principal and got a special treatment just for you." He smiled at his brother before walking inside. Cas looked around and saw a group of kids walk by, one of them turned around and smirked. 'Is that the same boy? No Cas stop. Just don't think about it leave it alone. He probably just heard a joke from a friend next to hi-' Gabriel cut off Castiel's thinking by pulling him into the room.

The room was full of numbers. 'Great. My first period is my least favorite subject.' Cas thought to himself as he looked around. He wondered where he would sit. "Hurry I think I hear kids coming. We gotta beat the crowd." Gabriel was standing by the door and Cas quickly ran out his brother joining him. He saw the same boy. This time they both got a good look at each other. Cas stood there studying the boy who was doing the same to him. The boy had light brown hair, lots of freckles, and big green eyes. "Cassie come on you don't want to get caught up with them. Trust me I'm trying to do you a favor here." Cas got shot back to reality and ran to his brother who was already going to the next room. He looked back one more time to see the boy dragging on to the back of the line just to keep looking at Cas.
