Remember what you say, no matter how small or insignificant, can hurt.

"JOSH JOSH GUESS WHAT." Tyler says.
"TYLER TYLER WHAT." Josh replies
"WE MADE IT, WE'RE IN THE TOP 3!" Tyler says excitedly
Josh begins to cry and Tyler joins him. This, this is what they have worked for, and they've succeeded.
Skip to a few days later. Tyler is scrolling through Instagram.
*blah blah blah* has tagged you in a photo.
This picture isn't any different than any other one Tylers been tagged in, except he looks at this one.
The picture is of Tyler and Josh
The caption reads
" I hate 21pilots, they're ugly and have no talent"
Another one pops up
"JYLER FOR LYFE!!! TYLERS DUMB FOR BEING WITH JENNA!"
And another
"I bet Tylers a bottom ;))"
And another
"I want Tyler to tie my hands together and press me up against the wall and do what he wants with me;)))" (yes these are actually things I've seen.)
Tylers recent happiness because of his success starts to fade the deeper and deeper he goes as the doubts start to set in.
"They don't care about us, they don't listen to our music. They don't care what affects me. They care about our bodies and being noticed. Not me. Never me." He thinks.
Suddenly Josh walks in. And Tyler quickly closes Instagram and puts on a fake smile.
"Are you ready for tonight's showcase?"  Josh says with a smile.
"Always." Tyler says also smiling. But his is almost fake
Later that night
It's nearing the end of the show and Josh steps on the platform that is going to be held by the crowd.
"This is going to be amazing!" Josh thinks.
And it is
Until
Near the end he falls
Instead of being helped up like he hopes, he is groped and pulled on and stripped.
"Please, please stop I'm begging you." His voice is barely a wisper.
He's so scared
"I love you all so much. Please no stop."
His mind is racing
He can't think clearly
The one thing he can think is "I can't breathe I'm losing it, I can't do this again."
His breath catches in his throat and his vision blurs
Until he's pulled out
But he can't go on
He has to leave stage
He can't meet his fans
He just has to get out.
The show ends
The next day his notifications blow up with accusations.
"Rude, the red haired one couldn't even stay around to greet his fans."
"I got a peak at Josh last night ;) my life = complete! He seemed a little scared last night, wonder why?"
"He doesn't even care about his fans."
"No, it's you that don't care about me." Josh thinks to himself.
"But why should you, I am nothing, just a piece of meat to you."
He continues to scroll
"Fuck me in the ass until your dick comes out my throat." (You can thank @ashtonsboca on Instagram for this one I found under joshs pic)
"DADDY💦💦😩😩🙏🏼🙏🏼"
He's more horrified as he continues to scroll, "how can they claim to love me, but look at me in this way."
He felt
Anxious and violated and used
He felt gross
And not appreciated.
But it's ok because you didn't have to keep to yourself right? You got to say what you wanted? Freedom of speech? Ok let's keep going.
A few nights later joshes butt was grabbed, he felt the same again dirty and used. Where the hell does your "freedom of speech" play into this? It doesn't, because you're not just talking anymore, you're violating.
You're touching him without permission.
This is and has been a problem
On the sexual harassment and harassment in general of Josh and Tyler: I can't believe anyone who would call themselves a fan and then undress Josh knowing about his anxiety and putting him in a situation where he feels helpless and unloved. Most of you have no idea what real anxiety is, it's not oh I got anxious for my test or I'm nervous it must be anxiety, no it's full blown terror and fear controlling your life sometimes it's for no reason, you're just scared or you feel like the whole world is falling down and this is it something bad is going to happen, your world is falling down, you can't control it and what sucks is most of the time what makes you anxious is not having control of your future or what happens or if you're going to die (you're not) it's fear and terror and over thinking and to you every little thing is a sign why would anyone want Josh to feel like this?? Especially from the people who "love" him?? This. This is why Tyler and Josh don't crowd surf. This is why Josh gets anxious and leaves the stage. This is unacceptable. These guys are here to help people and make good music not to be sexually harassed or picked at. How would you feel if Josh saw this?? How do you think he'd feel? I know if someone was doing this to me I'd honestly get scared. Just because Tyler and Josh are famous it doesn't make them pieces of meat. They're humans and they have feelings. They do so so much for us and how do we repay them? By posting disrespectful stuff about them online and grabbing Josh's butt and filming Tylers crotch and when Josh falls off the stage what do we do? We undress him because that's the human thing to do? Pretty soon it's gonna get overwhelming and they're gonna stop touring because they'll have had enough, they'll think we only care about they're bodies and not them or their music they'll have enough of it. Like I said they do so much for us the least we can do is be respectful?
Skip forward
The day the heathens behind the scenes video was released
Tyler thought he'd make a joke. It'd be funny.
Joshs Twitter notifs started going crazy
"#kysjosh"
"Kill yourself Josh"
"We hate you"
"The band doesn't need you."
Josh read all of these, it was too much for him he had to close it. He sat on his bed and sobbed. For hours. His "fans" the people that were supposed to always support him were turning on him. He was losing control. His anxiety kicked in. "I'm worthless, would they care if I was actually gone?" "No, they've made that clear."
Tyler walked in
He knew
He felt awful.
It was just a joke
He shouldn't have said Josh wouldn't let him stay
Tyler started to sob.
He went to Josh and embraced him, he let him know he loved him and so did Jenna and all of his friends and everyone else, the only people that could hate him were the ones just seeking attention. They stayed like that for a while, hugging. Josh was so happy to have Tyler as his best friend and Tyler was so happy to have Josh as him. All of a sudden Josh was scared. "What would people think if they saw us like this? God forbid we hug and they make it into something it's not. All I want is to be able to give my best friend affection without being shipped with him of people freaking out."  Tyler could always help Josh cheer up, and Josh helped Tyler just as much.
Once again
The notifs started to blow up
Both Tyler and Josh's
This time
They were all
"We love you spooky"
"Stay strong"
"❤️❤️❤️ you tyjo"
"❤️😍❤️"

-3 weeks later-
The tags started popping up again, the hateful ones.
"Tyler look at this"
Hate pages, hundreds of them.
"Stop21.pilots"
"Josh_fucking_dumb"
(Yes these actually exist.)
And people weren't defending Tyler and Josh. At all
Some of the comments read
OMG this page is so funny
Haha I love you
And so on, supporting this.
Josh was stunned.
He showed Tyler
Tyler said
"It's probably a joke, but it sure as hell isn't funny."
All Josh can think is
"Why?
Why would someone make a
Fake hate page for attention
Or to be funny
How is that fuvking funny
I've tried so many times to see the good in the clique
But the dark
Over shadows the light
And I can't take
The dark
Much longer."
Josh decides to do what many of you do
When you're sad
Or happy
Or pretty much anything
He prayed
Then
He picked up his earbuds
And presses play
"Am I the only one I know....
Waging my wars...."
(Yes you guessed it
Josh and Tyler listen to their own music :) )

The last time Tyler  Josh scrolled through Instagram.
They saw
Something
That made them smile
Their  hope in the clique was
Slowly being restored
People were defending them
They were showing they loved them
They were being respectful
And Josh and Tyler loved it.

At the end of the next show
Josh spoke
" I want to thank everyone for coming, I have Something to say.
Recently me and Tyler have noticed the amount of disrespect and hate we have been receiving from "the clique"
I'm here to tell you. This is not the clique
And I know that now, the clique loves and respects us, they don't try to sexualize or hurt us, and for that I love them infinitely
Think about this the next time you say something gross or create a hate page towards us. You will never know, how it affects us or makes us feel. Please only share love and respect for us. Thankyou
And one more thing
Me and Tyler are not your fucking daddies and we will never will be."
