Her scent flourished the room full of wolves. Howls and cat whistles were thrown at the beautiful lady who walked through the crowded scenery. They chanted and watched as she took elegant steps closer. Even though she was a female, her men knelt in respect. She was Alpha, and no one could bring her down. The she-wolf inched closer toward the silhouette of a weak and beat down man. Her footsteps echoed through the cell as she finally approved the old man. His worn skin was batted and bruised. Eyes beat red from silent cries of being tortured with a heated crowbar every single night.
She showed no pity, for he deserved this punishment. Stealing a pup from its family was a crime in her pack, and she would not let it slip by her so easily. The old man struggled to blink as he glanced up, knowing this was it. "P-please, M'lady." The tone in his voice trembled and he was desperate, "I beg of you."
She lifted a finger to push his chin further up and that blazing red from her irises glared his petrified ego down. The old man gulped hopelessly as his calloused hand were clinging onto the Alpha's wrist. "I didn't not me-" The lady's left arm that was loose at her side sent a gruesome punch to the man's face, which caused himself to tumble backwards as the crowd stood silent around them.
"Bullshit Vladdin" The fire in her eyes were ferocious as the men around finally began to holler pay. She grabbed his jaw with such pressure as the black bold tattoo on her murderous hand created an illusion of a viper increasing its jaw length as a strike attack. Vladdin could not move, for the old wolf was scared shitless. "What did I say," the was a pause before she continued "I took you in. When you were in those woods bleeding out to death from Micki's Pack, I took you in. And this is how you repay me?" Her words stung as his eyes shuttered down. "You were nothing," she spat deviously. "and you disrespect not only me but your own Luna fucking family. How does it feel to steal your own granddaughter?"
The room is silent as she thrusted his head away from her, when she wiped his sweat off of her hand she turned around with her back facing the old man. "Finish him."
Her men obliged as she can hear the old man holler for help. With a sigh, the she-wolf finally exits the room as a small brush was against her shoulder. The scent of magnificent cologne engulfed her nose as her Beta looks down at her. "Don't you think, killing the 67 year old man is a little, oh I don't know bitchy?" He joked but she barely acknowledged his comment.
" I don't have time for games Griffon." Her tone was steady and uninterested in Griffon's act. His tall, broad features made any girl but her drool. Silked dirty golden hair sleeked back as the stubble on his chin was from lack of shaving.
"Relax my dear Lucinda." Griffon's voice soothing and at a low turn. "I already know what kinda games you play in the bed." She glances up to growl but catches a wink from him.
"What is it, Beta." Lucinda felt irritated, "What is it that you need to tell me, I'm already in a fucking bad mood." Griffon tenses up a bit, but kept his head up.
"Aren't you always in a bad mood darli-" Lucinda quickly without hesitation cuts him off.
"Griffon." Her voice sent a warning as chills ran down the man's spine. He fidgeted and bit from the risen goosebumps as he continued.
"Draven wants and immediate conference and plans to be present no more than ten minutes from now." He breathed out as she cursed quietly under the oxygen she exhaled. The role of her eyes show her lack of interest.
"Does that piece of rotten meat ever learn to stay in his own damn territory." Lucinda and Griffon reached the front of the house as the dark oak doors burst open with force. There stood an angry Prairie Pack Alpha, muscles flexed and sweat that beated from his skin dampened the faded tight teal T-shirt he wore.
"You know there's a thing called knocking Mr. Blu." Lucinda stood calm and collected as the Alpha before her was anxious. "I'd advise you take notes and put it in your Werewolves for Dummies 101."
"This is why a woman shouldn't lead a pack of men!" He threw a dead carcass of caribou to her feet as a small twitch appeared on her nose from the smell of the dead corpse. She barely noticed the dead thing until now. "Your bullshit of a pack is stealing our kill!"
"Oh sweetie, don't blame me for your pack's poor hunting skills." She left a burn on Draven as he clenches his jaw constantly while his fists merged white.
"Stay out of our territory you mutt." He spat while a tint of spit Lucinda lightly.
She wiped the disgusting chemical off of her skin and cleaned off her hand on the black tights she wore. "I can do whatever I want ." She smirked as she spoke, "with that law, you can't touch one single hair on the W.A.R Pack."
"The law says to obey the border lines you idiot!" Draven's anger grew heavily as Lucinda made a sour face.
She stomped towards the Alpha and pushed her face close enough to his, "In case you haven't noticed I have a pack to feed, and if I had let them starve to death, those casualties would've been on your ass."
"How so? Princess." He leaned, showed that he could care less, and proved it in his eyes.
She smiled and whispered,"The law states any death's upon either pack are to be examined by headquarters, and I would simply explain to the elders that you could not share. Im sure they would take interest in your poor sport."
His fist tightened as he stared her down. "I did not come here to be lectured by a woman about the law, I came to give an offer."
"I'm not interested." Lucinda walked a way from him as she made her way towards Griffon.
"In exchange for some of the food you steal, I will hold no attack on your pack."
Lucinda broke out a fake laugh as she held her stomach. Draven scowled and growled lowly, "You?" Her laugh filled the room, "attack me?"
"Brother it's no use." A voice peaked behind Draven. Draven ignored his brother's advice and keeps is attention on Lucinda.
"Maybe your brother has a point." She snorted very softly and it sent a chill down Draven's brother's spine, he felt odd and warm inside.
"My Beta does not speak unless I approve."
"Oh honey, this isn't the olden times, people can do what they want." She spoke with strength as she tried to glance at the brother behind the Alpha. "Come out." Her voice directed towards him.
"He will not." Draven growled once more as Lucinda rolled her eyes.
"Quit being his father for a minute and let him talk old guy. " Draven was old enough to be his brother's father, he stood still.
"He listens to me." But as he said that his brother felt the urge to move to the side with his head down. He sensed something so out of the ordinary with Lucinda's presence.
Lucinda studied him. He seemed new to Draven's pack. One foot shorter than his brother he was still tall enough to over look her. His broad shoulders hung low, muscles tensed. He wanted to raise his head as she was wanting the same. But Draven obliviously stood in the way, blocking the view of him. "The deal, take it or leave it." The Alpha glared as Lucinda was still focus on the mysterious brother.
"Him." She abruptly spoke. Draven's eyes widened.
"What?" He was shocked.
"We share and keep peace in exchange for your brother." She explained nonchalantly.
"No." Draven stood to protect him as his brother's hand is placed on his shoulder.
"Draven, we need peace and we need food." His voice was as soothing as milk and his electric blue irises gave Draven enough to calm down. "Ronda can take my place, I can take care of myself."
Draven is hesitant before he sighed. "Tomorrow he will be here at the full moon." Without another word he stormed out and pushed his brother outside before him as he was about to close the entrance doors Lucinda spoke
"And take the damn bloody animal off my tiles."
