Nick woke up with a smile on his face. He was going to make the last day of summer count. Middle School had been inching closer and closer, and before he new it, there would be no summer left. Him and his friends had called each other earlier and new exactly what they would do. At five in the morning, they would meet at nicks house and sneak out from the window. One of nicks friends, Brian, had a dad who was the mayor. So, Brian woke up early and stole the key to the city from his dad and went into Brian's backyard. Following Brian were Chelsea, zack, Jonah, alexia, and Bonnie, all of which were nicks friends. But there was always one kid that would follow them everywhere. That was Daniel, the biggest bully in town. But they had already set up a trap for him, so they were safe. Well, maybe. Then, they all were going to hide in a shed a few blocks away until the coast was clear. Then at ten they would come out and be able to unlock anything they wanted. And if that plan didn't go smoothly, then they didn't know what could.
Nick went out into the backyard to find Jonah looking very tired.
"What happened to you! You were supposed to go to bed early yesterday!" Said nick.
"It's just that i've been waiting here for so long that, that...." Jonah fainted. Jonah was always the one who never followed directions. The only thing he could remember to do was breathe.
"Well, we better get to the shed before anyone wakes up." Said nick.
"Let's go, then." Said Chelsea.
Nick sort of had feelings for Chelsea, well, actually REALLY had feelings for Chelsea.
"Stop it, narrator!"
Okay, okay.... Goodness. Anyways, nick led the others to the shed, thinking that this whole fainting thing could just be one of Jonah's stupid jokes. What if the fainting was part of something bigger, what if he was a killer, what if there was a bigger force....
No, that couldn't be true. Then, he saw the shed and nervously stepped inside. Then there was silence.
