Chapter 2: Shall I go?

Lilac woke up from her long nap, Sasha was sound asleep in her bedroom. She forgot to put Lilac in her room to sleep. Lilac thought to herself " Shall I go...? Run away from this prison that holds me?" Lilac paused. "I shall. Let me jump out the window. Cats always land on their feet.. Right?" Lilac asked herself "I always land on my feet, then why should this feature fail me now?" Lilac glanced at the window. It was always open for cool air. The first time she came, she saw that the window was open. Every time she came out of the room where she was kept to sleep, it was open. For breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert. Tonight it was too. Lilac got to the windowsill and clawed the fence, keeping flies away from the inside. She was ready to jump. To her surprise a cat jumped onto the windowsill too. The cat looked somewhat like Lilac. "Hey." The strange cat said. "I'm Lilac." The real Lilac paused. "No I'm Lilac. This is too confusing! I'm calling you... Snowy." Lilac said. " Okay but I'm you in the future. Call me whatever you want. I don't care. I came here to help you. Tell you actually. Not to jump! It'll lead you to a miserable  life." Snowy said "Whose here to stop me?" Lilac said with a smirk on her face "I'm here to stop you." Snowy  exclaimed as she blocked the hole in the window with her body. Snowy was fatter than Lilac. Definitely. It would be hard for Lilac to push her out of the way. She might of had to push her off the windowsill to get through. "So what's your decision?" Snowy grinned. "Death?" She pointed down the windowsill "Or here?" Snowy pointed in the warm room. "I choose Jump." Lilac said as she pushed Snowy out of the way "Oof!" Snowy said in schock "Noo!" Snowy shouted. "Yessss!" Lilac said as she pounded on the hard concrete ground "Cats do land on their feet!" She exclaimed as she walked across the sidewalk in the dark night. Snowy watched as she sighed, and jumped onto the chair that belonged to Sasha. And slept. She was going to fill in for Lilac, who left for the worst part in her life. " Where should I go now..? It's cold on the streets, and I don't think I can climb back up to the apartment." Lilac said as she looked around the sidewalk " Would I get eaten out here..?" She thought. "Nah!" She said and went on her way. "I just have to find more cats to become friends with?" She asked herself. "Yeah! I guess so.." "Some cat friends you say..?" A strange man's voice said " W-where are you..?" Lilac asked, all she could see was black shadows. "I'm right here.. You can't see me?" He asked Lilac "N-no! I can't see you at all! Come out! I have claws and teeth and I'm not afraid to use them on you!" Lilac hissed. " Fine then, if you really want to know who I am, or perhaps what I am. I shall come out to greet you." The strange voice said calmly He revealed himself. He was a cat. " You're a cat..?" Lilac asked curious to what he is. Lilac never seen a cat breed like that before. " I'm  a Maine Coon Cat. My name, is Alex." He said "A-alex..?" Lilac looked up "Alex! Is that you..?" Lilac asked cheerfully "Yes.. It's me, Lilac.. I'm sorry.." Alex looked down, it seemed like he was going to cry. "Alex... I-I've missed you so much!" Lilac was about to cry aswell. " Lilac. Remember when I said that I was moving...?" Alex paused.. "I didn't move.. I ran away. I thought that the homes we were provided with, with the humans, I thought it was some type of punishment, and that we went to prison.. I ran away and.. Now i'm here." Alex said "It's more dangerous out here than inside the apartments." Alex said as he walked along the sidewalk with Lilac. "You mean I shouldn't have jumped..?" Lilac sighed "Yes. You see, I tried to warn myself not to jump.. I'm from the future." Alex said "So you mean Snowy- I mean future me was telling me the truth? Should I have listened to her..?" Lilac looked at Alex worried " Yes, Lilac. I'm sorry for what I did in the past. We can't stop it." Alex exclaimed. "Stop here." Alex looked worried "This is dog territory. If we through it, we might get hurt by the dogs." Alex glanced at Lilac "Cats have been killed here." He was looking for the path he always takes to his territory. "Follow me." Alex walked across the path with Lilac "Oh look who it is!" A Scruffy Dog voice said "Meow meow!" Another dog voice said "Wase, Licke Stop. We're only passing through. This isn't your territory side so it's not necessary to attack us." Alex growled. "Whose this?" Licke asked "This is Lilac. She's my old friend from 1st Clawde" Alex looked scared, but he was brave. "Hey'a Lilac" Wase glanced at Lilac "Howdey" Lilac smiled. "Now Shoo!" Wase and Licke said together. Lilac and Alex hurried across the rocky path going to the cat territory. When they were finally there, Alex shouted "Shhh! Everyone here must meet... Lilac Pearldy!" Alex smiled "She is now welcomed to our territory, and she will be welcomed by everyone here. Lilac was my best friend in 1st Clawde. Until I lied to her and told her that I was moving, instead I jumped from the windowsill, just like she did, and until this very day, we met." Lilac hurried onto the stage "We will have a huge party for Lilac and me meeting again!" Alex exclaimed "Lilac, have anything to say?" He asked Lilac shyley "Of course." Lilac smiled and turned to the croud "I am Lilac. Alex's old friend. I am honored to be here with you guys and I love it already." Lilac and Alex got off the stage "What am I going to wear..?" Lilac asked Alex "A blue dress. And I'm weraing a tuxedo." he smiled at Lilac "Let's go party!" Lilac smiled
