Introduction

Ever since I was little I loved the beach, the way the sand felt between my toes all gritty and warm and how the water would cover your feet like a warm blanket of water. This is my story about how I found true love and had to let go of it too fast. My love of my life was named Peter and everyday we would count the sand on our beach - but now we have stopped counting the sand and started counting our days....

PETER

I clutched the flowers and took a deep breath before turning the cornor. Her scent of her perfume was so thick in the air I could practically taste it. Her golden brown curls lay off to the side against her bright red shirt and was covering her perfect hazel eyes. I walk up to her nervous to ask Hazel to the upcoming prom dance. I look her straight in the eyes and when I begin to ask there was never a worst time to sneeze and it came out all squeaky instead of my normal deep voice. She giggles a little and looks me straight back into my eyes and a smile spreads across her face when she bites her bright red lip. "Well I would love to "Achoo" go to prom with you ."she says giggling. She looks at me blankly for a while and says "Your...Peter right... from science class? "Yes" I exclaim ha I thought to my self I thought her blank stare and confused look would give that away that she did not know me. "Well I've been meaning to ask you too Peter I think you look like a really nice guy." And she walks up to me a twists her finger in my curly brown hair and kisses me on my cheek. I smile at her as she walks away in her pencil skirt and bright red shirt. I guess you could say I came, I saw, I made this not so awkward.

I walk to my next class with my best friend Amy. Well when I first saw her  I didn't really see her, just the pile of books she was carrying. As you can tell Amy is a real geek and she loves wearing these huge brown glasses and her hair in a messy bun. I look at her and laugh a little at all her books and take some off her chest so she can at least breath. "Well Amy I see you are up to you extensive reading" I say with a chuckle, " well anyways Amy I was wondering if you would like to go to the mall after school and help me look for an outfit for the prom? And maybe we could get a salad or something before." She looks at me excitedly and asks,"Oh um so who are you going to prom with?" "Oh Hazel I exclaim." Her smile drops a little bit she nods her head and then says,"Your such a manipulator". Well I reply,"I would like to think of myself as an outcome engineer."she smiles a little at that and I look at her waiting for her to say yes to going shopping. Amy slowly looks back at me before I drop her off at biology "Hey Peter, I don't like salad" and then she gives me the I'm watching you gesture"Or eye contact". I laugh out loud and walk myself all giddy and excited to history class.

When I get out of my boring history class I bump into hazel. She is leaning against my locker with her eyes sparkling and her lips glisten of freshly applied lip gloss. I give her a quick smile before she is all up in my face and she kisses me. I have never been kissed before and I know that's pretty sad for me being a senior but it was amazing. Her kiss was wet and tasted like strawberries. She pulled back and smiled at me and said with a little play in her voice "I'll see you later love".
I smile all weirdly and I turn around slamming my locker to find Amy. She stared at me concerned but she seems to shake it off, "Well are you ready to go to the mall " she exclaimed with a smile. Yay yay I say I'm ready. "Okay let's hurry though because I'm going to the beach to read later" . I roll my eyes at her playfully because she's crazy and just when you think you've reached the bottom of her craziness, there's a crazy underground garage. So  I grab my keys so we can blow this Popsicle stand.
