The Affects

Her screaming gets louder,

Yet so do the noises.

The empty pit inside her

Is now full of hate, and ruins

Remains that can't be fixed.

She searches around,

Her emotions mixed,

Finally, finding it,

Her mind filled with what she'll never be.

One cut, two cuts, going on three

Her skin is marked

And she starts to feel free

Her eyes start to flutter,

And so does her heart,

Now she can only mutter

Bout her memories, her fate,

Her love and her life.

She drops her blade.

Her parents find her,

Her blade too.

After tears had fallen

Their binding started to undo.

Some bullies at school,

They receive a letter.

But they're only kids;

They never knew better.

Her brother didn't understand,

He thought it was ok.

So a cold night in July,

He says, "Today is the day."

So he writes a few notes,

And tied to the bed,

He picks up the gun,

And shoots himself in the head.

hey guys :*

What a depressing way to start a book. A poem about depression and it's effects. Hm. Eh. Enjoy!
