Its really hard to pick one specific memory. However, there are some things that come to mind, the Yo Gabba Gabba/MCR party at my friend Static Adreanline's house last weekend, or coming to school the day after the Honda Civic Tour, which I unfortunately couldn't go to, and seeing Static's cool new Killjoy t-shirt. Then, there was the time Atomic Girl got a Jett Star jacket and Static and I stood in the back of the band room fangirling over it. Before all of that the beginning of the school year had come and we weren't to sure about our new band director so we started thinking, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Ray Toro was our band director?" We couldn't stop the girlish giggles everytime we thought of the massive 'fro crazily bouncing while he directed. One particular memory I have is when Static and I were planning on going to a free concert in Madison. Both of our parents put an end to those plans, because we had show choir the next day. Seriously disappointed, Static called to tell me that her mom had said no too. The thing is Static and I weren't too close at the time. The only thing we really had in common was our love for bands like MCR. Static had introduced me to the world of MCR that summer when she found that I was obsessed with another of her favorite bands. We bcame closer over show choir camp, but not much. So, instead of calling to tell me she couldn't go that night and then hanging up, we stayed on the phone for hours talking about our killjoys and their stories. We talked so long, just about killjoys, that mom had to take the phone away from me! I don't normally talk to people very much, I'm kind of quiet and shy, which is another thing Static and I have in common, so spending hours on the phone with one person was out of the ordinary. Ever since then Static and I have become really good friends, we even found a freshman with the same intense love for MCR as we do, Atomic Girl. So, I guess there isn't one specific memory or even a memory that I've already had, but the memories that are yet to come. My Chemical Romance, especially Danger Days, hasopened new doors for me. I made two new friends, friends that I wouldn't have made on my own. I really don't know what my life would be like with out our silly pep-band tarditions and weird fangirl parties. I do know that it wouldn't be as fun. So, thank you My Chemical Romance, thank you Danger Days. If I don't win the guitar, I'll be dissapointed, but it won't matter because My Chemical Romance has already given me so much.
