Chapter 1

She was having good days of her life, um... no, better days, maybe best according to her. She was in a mall shopping for the Birthday party with her family. She had completed most of her shopping and now was finally heading to a gift shop for buying the present. She was about to enter the shop when she noticed a pair of eyes on her. She felt the tingles run down her neck to the end of her spine. She recognized the gaze instantly without the need to look at the face that held those eyes. She stood frozen on the door daring herself not to turn to the direction of the place where the body, holding that head with the eyes gazing on her, located. Yet she dared to ignore the dare given by the little voice behind her head and she turned to her left to brazen out the owner of those eyes.

She came to face the man she thought she would never have to face again. She stood there. Frozen again, as tiny bits of buried memory began to replay in her head. Had she not imagined this day several times in her small head? She had,in fact several times, too many times for her liking that some day the imagination felt real. She had played this meeting several times in her head, in various circumstances. She had thought of several ways she would react when she would face that man. She had thought of several responses she would respond with upon meeting the said man. She had imagined she would be happy, may be mad at him for leaving her, sad at remembering that he had actually left her, may be even cry upon the reunion, may be guilty that she had not tried enough earlier, furious that he had not seen her efforts, may be fight for him harder the next time she would find him, even fight with him and ask, beg if she needed to, for him to stay. She had even experienced all those emotions when she had merely fantasized about seeing him all again. And there was she, eyeing him for real, being under the same roof as him and she felt... nothing? All she felt was calm and she wondered why. How could she have been all cool and calm about seeing the only person she had always longed for?...

But, it had been so long... So long enough that she had given up on the thought of ever seeing him again. But not long enough for her to forget anything related to that man. She could remember everything that had transpired between them, with them. She could see it all again in her head as if it was just yesterday and not all those times before that they had parted their ways. But it was like it didn't matter anymore. That time she finally decided to listen to that tiny voice coming from back of her head which was constantly forewarning her not to take a step ahead in that direction and walk to the shop she was heading to, nevertheless she couldn’t gather the energy to follow the latter one. She stared at the silhouette of that well known guy as the surrounding began to fade away from her field of vision. The hustle of the area soon faded away and only thing that was sensed by her senses was HIM, the man that changed her view to life.
