“The one in attic?” He tried to clarify without much detail, and looked at her husband with apprehension.

It took few seconds for Annie to understand what he meant. She looked at her husband nervously who smiled at her knowingly.

“But… um… that… you…” she stammered not knowing what to say exactly.

“Please… I think it’s time for it to be taken from here… they should not be here Ann, Annie” he corrected reminding himself yet again that he didn’t have the right to call her Anna.

“Err…”

“Please…” he requested again, this time looking at her husband.

Annie looked at him as well who had already been looking at her. He nodded at her.

“Ammm okay… I’ll go get it?” she said before tuning around to leave but was stopped by her husband’s hand on her wrist. She looked at him who nodded at her giving her knowing look, which conveyed the message that he’ll get him for her. She smiled her thank you at him, before he let their daughter go and went upstairs. She stared at his disappearing figure until Aaron stopped her with his voice.

“You guys seem to communicate through telepathy” he looked at the stairs Swopnil had taken moments ago before looking at amused Annie.

“Hmmm… as you’ve mentioned I guess yes” she chuckled. “We apparently don’t need much of words” she smiled and looked back at the stairs.

“Maybe that’s what the true love is?” he whispered.

But she heard him. She looked at him analyzing what he had just said.

Aaron extended his hand and smoothed the crease formed between her brows. She jerked her head back at the sudden contact.

“Ammm sorry, I saw those creases and couldn’t help…”

She remembered how he used to that. “No, it’s okay. I just got startled at the sudden touch” she let out the nervous laugh.

“You love him?” he asked hesitantly after the pause.

She was taken off guard by his query. She reckoned it and smiled” Yes”

He cocked his head to side like her and gave a playful smile before speaking “Am I jealous?”

She laughed at the question and hit his shoulder playfully before saying “You should be…He is really a good man.” She looked back at the stairs where her husband had disappeared.

“Nope.” He said. She turned to face him and raised her brows.
“He is a good REAL man” he continued “which I couldn’t be…” he trailed off.

“Come on” she hit his shoulder again “You are. And you just proved it” she smiled cocking her head to a side.

“I’m sorry Anna for not being one back in that time” he finally apologized for the mistake he did 8 years ago.

She frowned remembering that day. She looked at the man in front of her before she dwelled on the past longer. She saw the sincerity in his eyes and she knew he was sorry. She gave him a small smile and said “I won’t say ’it’s okay’ for what you did back then but yeah I do forgive you.”

He gave her confused look wondering what she actually meant.

Seeing his look, she gave him a reassuring smile and continued “Because I really have forgiven you.”

“Do you hate me, Anna?” he finally voiced his thought that had bothered him for years.

“No” she gave a clear answer.
