Chapter 2 - Setting Up

Fiona pov-

Cassidy and I were putting our stuff away in the dressers that are set up in the small house that we are going to be staying in for the month. For once we don't have our parents criticizing what we do and say. Don't get me wrong we both love our parents to death but when they nag about us not being 'proper princesses' almost everyday, it gets a bit tedious and annoying.

I think it'll be pretty fun to have this experience. I've never been to the human world before and neither has Cassidy. We weren't even allowed out of the castle until we were twelve years old and even then we were rarely allowed to leave the kingdom by ourselves. We mostly practiced controlling our powers and other magic such as healing, levitation, forcefields, foresight and teleportation. We have even started to learn how to use Austin and Troy's powers but we prefer to use our own. We have learned how to make potions and special medicine that we bring to the towns people when we can leave the castle.

All of a sudden I'm pulled from my thoughts when I hear Cassidy scream from the other room. "Fiona!" "What?!" "Get over here! I want to talk to you!" "But I'm lazy!" "I don't care! Get your lazy butt in here!" I groan "Ugh, Fine!" I put my the last thing that was in my bag in my dresser and go to Cassidy's room. "What?" "Okay two things. They have Naruto on TV. And we're being enrolled into a school called Forest Hills High."

"Awesome. When do we start?" "Tomorrow." "What!? How are we supposed to get ready!?" "Fiona chill. Mom and dad gave us like five hundred dollars. Plus we need to hide our hair color along with our powers." "Cassidy please. The power thing is easy. But the hair might be hard. And we can forget about clothes." "Lucky for you I have potion that will change our hair color."

"What about side affects?" "The only side affects are that we will have a streak of our natural hair. Here" She gave me a bottle with a purple liquid inside. We both drank it. I looked at Cassidy and saw her hair color was now a chocolate Brown. I grabbed a piece of my once blue and watched it turn into a light brown. "It worked! Now we can go shopping! And Fiona remember, we can't buy anything edgy. This is a school for crist sate." "Okay, but that goes for you too." We walked into a store and shopped until Cassidy dropped.

We made our way back home and as soon as I stepped through the door I drop all the bags I was carrying. "How did I end up carrying all the bags when you got more stuff than I did?" "You didn't carry all the bags. I carried this one." Cassidy holds up the smallest bag out of all of them. "Of course, what was I thinking" I say, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh shut up you love me" we both giggle. "Oh what would you do without me?" "Probably not get into as much trouble as I do now" "Dito sister" we both laugh.

After laughing for a bit we go and get our school bags and clothes ready for tomorrow. Before we know it, it's already 10 o'clock so we decide to go to bed. Of course I stay up and watch Gravity Falls and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a while and I hear crying from Cassidy's room so she must be watching Naruto again. After a few episodes I realize it's midnight, I turn off my phone and put it on my bedside table. "Cass!" "What!" "Go to bed!" "Okay!" I lay down in my sheets and close my eyes until I fall asleep. Tomorrow is gonna be different.
