Riley Mathews and Maya Hart sat on the famous Bay Window.
Today was finally the day.
Lucas would choose between the two of them.
Riley smiled brightly.
"Maya, whoever he chooses, it won't come between us, right?" She asked hopefully.
"Nothing could ever come between us, Riles." Maya replied, smiling as well.
"Good, because I don't ever want us to change." Riley said, leaning her head on Mayas shoulder.
"It never will." Maya promised.
They stayed like this for a minute, before reality sank in.
"We should go, Riley..." Maya said, breaking the moment.
"Your right." Riley said, sadly lifting her head from Mayas shoulder.
As they stood up, they both took a deep breath.
"I hope he picks you, Riley." Maya said.
"And I hope he picks you." Riley returned.
And with that, they set out the window.
------------------
The walk there was pretty silent, as the tention between them was real.
"One of us is about to be heartbroken..." Maya thought.
"I don't want either one of us to get hurt..." Riley thought, thinking the exact same thing.
As they reached the school building, both girls turned to each other and smiled.
"Good luck." They both said, before pushing the doors open.
Lucas was standing there, right by the stairs.
"Hi girls..." He said, his voice trailing.
"Hi." Riley said simply.
"Hey Huckleberry." Maya said calmly.
It was silent between the three for a moment, before Lucas spoke up.
"So, we all came because I have to pick between the two of you..." He said awkwardly.
The girls both nodded, intertwining their fingers.
"...but...."
Suddenly both girls froze.
"I-i just...can't choose."
Everything then turned back to silence.
But this time, it wasn't just forgive and forget.
"Seriously? We walked all the way down here, for that?" Maya spat angrily.
Riley nodded, glaring at Lucas.
"I'm sorry- i-its just-"
"No! Its not just! We have waited long enough, and I'm not waiting any longer! If this is how its gonna be, then you can have Riley! I'm out!" Maya said angrily, turning away.
"Wait! But Ma-"
"You know what, she's right! You've dragged both our hearts around with no content! Instead of having me, you can have nobody!" Riley yelled angrily, before turning and running after Maya.
"Wait! But girls, i-"
But they both slammed the doors.
----------------
The walk home was not silent.
"This is so stupid! We shouldn't have wasted our time with this for 2 whole years!" Maya said.
"Your right! He doesn't deserve either one of us!" Riley replied.
But both girls were honestly very surprised.
Maya thought he would definetley choose Riley. They were both so similar, and so perfect for each other. She found it very peculiar that this whole time he couldn't choose. Besides, Riley looked beautiful tonight. Her medium-length brunette hair was tied back in a perfect high ponytail, and she was wearing a long, pretty white dress with spaghetti sleeves that suited her perfectly.
But Riley thought there was no way he would pick her over Maya. Maya and Lucas were both so different, but opposites attract! She had seem them together, and it was clear to her they were meant to be! They were even voted top couple! Plus, Maya looked dead stunning tonight. Her long golden hair was straightened, with the two front strands pulled back into a clip. She was wearing a gourgous short black dress with long sleeves, and it captured her beautiful body perfectly.
Lost in thought, both girls took the wrong turn to Riley's apartment.
"Uh oh..." Riley said, as they ended up at the park.
"Well, we might as well sit down." Maya said, gesturing towards the park bench in front of them.
Riley shrugged, and they both walked over.
It was silent between them as they both admired the beautiful city lights.
Well, Maya was.
Riley, however, was thinking.
"Hey Maya?"
"Yes, Riley?"
"Your Bi, right?"
"Yup. Why do you ask?"
Riley was thinking.
People always say you should stay with the person who stays by you. Lucas hasn't, but Maya has.
"So, you like both genders, correct?"
"Yes. Why?" Maya asked, questioningly.
"What if I think that I'm Bi too..." Riley whispered.
"Riles! Its awesome being Bi! But, why do you think you are?"
"Because I think I like a girl..." Riley said.
Maya's eyes widened.
"Really? Who?" She asked.
"Maya, you've always been with me. And a few hours ago, on the bay window, I felt something..."
Maya gasped, and she smiled.
"Are you saying...?"
"Maya, do you want to go out with me...?" Riley asked, hopefully.
Maya looked into Riley's eyes.
"Yes, Riley. Yes!" She replied joyfully.
Maya then tackled Riley with a hug.
Riley laughed, as she hugged her back.
-END-
Okay, so, this was originally supposed to be a one shot, but I love it so much I'm making it a FULL STORY! :D
This story is probably just going to be a Paradise fic (basically no drama involving others). It probably will involve some bullying, but no drama between the two (I don't think.)
Hope you enjoy!
