ADDICTIVE - Compilation of Stories of Love-Pain-Sacrifice-Tears-Hate

                                      

Authors Note:

I've been into many faces of Love and also heard stories of people being in-love and out-of-love. People may learn from their own stories or probably from someone else’s. An idea pop-up my mind to compile all of the stories I’ve heard and also my own stories. I was never a writer to begin with, but it is my passion to share. Before anything else, give me a chance to introduce myself. If someone can give me a drum roll please. (just imagine hearing one at your end)

Josef Calimquim is the name given by my dear loving parents; friends call me “SEF”, natively from the province of Pangasinan here in the Philippines, a country full of culture. Being a twenty-four year old I’ve been working in a lot of call-center companies. But hey! Who would think an Accounting graduate would turn out to be taking in phone calls. I’m a man of many talents, this may sound cliché but I’m the original “Jack of all trades but master of none.” I’ve been an Event Organizer, Stylist, Photo Manipulator, Photographer, and currently working as Virtual Assistant for Real Estate Company located in the U.S. Now let me be your modern version of “Lola Bashang.” Watch out for my own set of true-to-life stories within this compilation; it’s going to be a secret of which stories are mine. That’s for sure.  

Wattpad is my go to stress reliever. I told myself that I’ll never just be someone who reads, but someone who shares. My love life is not that dramatic, colorful, tear-jerker, or even your average happy-ever-after sort of thing. It’s rather the boring type of one, but hey you can absolutely learn from it. I’ve been into dozens of relationship some are good and some are just good to be true. A mix of emotion is what I can describe my experiences, right now I’m honestly enjoying being single. It gives me an opportunity to have time for myself and stay out of that stressful atmosphere.

This book is called ADDICTIVE, because my interpretation of love is that love itself is addictive. When you first felt that unexplainable fast, over beating, 100 beats per second pumping in your chest, that’s the time you get addicted. How about that indescribable pain, like your being stab a million times in your chest, when your eyes can’t stop to water, you’re correct, that’s the time you want to stop. Stop from everything, even stop from living your wasted, toxicated, and broken hearted life. But the moment you moved on, there you go again, experiencing all the emotions you dump under your trash can of exes. Hey, that’s what love is all about, being addicted to care, kisses, hugs, monthsaries and anniversaries,  those dinner dates, those movie marathon sessions you share, that messy bed after you made love, that perfume she/he wears that attracted your lust to come alive every time you smell it,  that one-of-a-kind endearment you call each other, and to those moments you share while holding each other’s hand, looking straight to your partners eyes and saying that eight lettered , 3 words I LOVE YOU.

Every chapter has its own story to share and characters that you can relate to. Providing different set of emotions from laughter to tears, from love to anger, and even from lust to being cold, emotions you also felt. Stories might not be a happy ending, but look at it in a brighter side, that the story is realistic. Offering you the chance of knowing what is right from wrong. I’m just the story teller, you are the judge.
