Since Catalina Billy and I became inseparable. Whenever I wasn’t at school and he wasn’t at work we were together. Luckily our schedules were pretty similar as far as times so we saw each other practically every night since we got back from Catalina which was almost a month ago now.

I had forgotten how much I missed the companionship of having a guy around. It was amazing to be able to have someone to kiss when I wanted to, who would randomly just grab me and wrap his arms around me. Swiping his hat from his head and then plopping it on top of mine and just letting out a big grin as I wrinkled my nose at him knowing he wouldn’t do anything but shake his head at me and smile. Whenever the night ended though we never said “bye” it was always “see you later”. Billy was superstitious when it came to the word “bye”. I never asked him why he was so superstitious about this word, but I’m guessing it had something to do with Cooper; but to this day I still don’t actually know. He thought though that once you said bye to someone, it meant that you no longer have anything to say to them ever again, but when you said “see you later” it meant exactly as its meant to, I’ll see you later.

Billy never asked me to be his girlfriend. I guess we just assumed that we were already a couple and we had been since the night of the party, so there was no need to do the whole, “will you go out with me” bullshit. I hadn’t been talking to any other guys, besides my guy friends, since I met him and I trusted that he wasn’t talking to any other girls as well. Besides, as much as he and I were together there was no time for him to talk to other girls, like I said when he wasn’t at work and I wasn’t at school we were together. So where would he find the time to talk to them? This allowed me to safely assume he wasn’t.

Heather had really been helping me out as far as Billy went as well. The Monday after we got back from Catalina, Billy came down here and he and Heather officially met. She told me later on that night that at first she was skeptical of Billy just because he had used the F-Word a lot as well as he was a little rough around the edges. But after seeing how he and I responded to each other and how well we got along, she knew that he made me happy and she hadn’t seen me that happy since Kyle and I had been together. My mom was still unaware of the fact that Billy was involved in my life and as far as she knew, I was just spending a lot of time over at Heathers house. I figured what she didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her, and when it was the right time for her to meet Billy it would happen but right now wasn’t the right time. The right time though was quickly approaching because with High School Graduation only a week away not only was my family going to be there I invited Billy to it as well. So I decided that after Billy and I got back from the River this weekend I would bring him over to meet my mom.

If you’ve ever been to Disneyland you know that the car ride to Disneyland takes a lot longer then the car ride home, because you’re so excited. This is how the ride to Lake Havasu felt for the weekend. It was also the first time I really got to spend time with Billy and his family. When I went over to his house I would say be friendly with his sister and his brother-in-law, but we never actually had conversations. Billy and I were always going out to do stuff so it was a kind of “hi” and “bye” thing. So spending the weekend with his family was something I was looking forward to.

I had noticed in the truck on the way out to Havasu Billy wasn’t acting like himself; he was almost acting as if he was nervous about something. But when I asked him about it he just told me the Monster Energy Drink he drank before we left had him a little wired. I took his word for it, but it wasn’t until we arrived at Havasu and until we were actually on the lake that I discovered what had him so anxious.

Her name was Haile and she was a bitch. Billy and I had talked about our exs with each other but he failed to mention that she was obsessed with him. Actually, Obsessed was an understatement. She was borderline stalker status when it came to him. She was about the same height as I was, and she had two-toned hair with blonde on top and brown underneath, a typical bro-hoe trait. Even though we were at the river she still easily had a pound of makeup on her face and her over-sized sunglasses put mine to shame. I told Billy from the very beginning that the reason she wore those sunglasses is so she could be discreet about staring at him, but she couldn’t fool anyone. He laughed because even though I said that in a joking way, the fact of that matter was it was probably true. She was surrounded by her little sixteen year old friends, and obviously the had stalked Billy’s myspace or something because I could tell they were all talking about him and I. There was more to this whole Haile thing then Billy was telling me, because I couldn’t think of any reason in the world why Haile would follow us from one spot to another, not letting us out of her site. That whole day she was within at least 20 yards of us. But why?
