Chapter 1: How Did We End Up Here?

So we're coming to the end of our high school experience. It's been stressful but it's all been worth it, spending every moment of it with my best friend Bri. But how, you may ask, did we end up here?

Well coming into high school was the scariest thing I've ever done, more nerve-racking then performing on stage but when I got put in a class with Bri, I knew everything would work out fine. Bri is by far the prettiest girl in the year and you would expect her to have all the boys chasing after her but that is not the case. Bri is special, she is the geekiest geek but is so unlike a geek when you get to know her personally, it's kind of like a celebrity I guess, you know them well but when you know them personally you get a completely different experience. It's like Bri is acting. We instantly became friends and had so much in common we now spend every minute of the day together and are inseparable.

We both have a huge passion for music, especially singing. I am in a band with my friends called Nathan, Harry and Isaac, Bri is our only fan and right now I really don't mind. We're enjoying what we're doing and I wouldn't have it any other way. Today I have my music exam where I have to sing and then at around noon I have to do my guitar part of the exam. I have practiced my piece of music over and over. But I still feel like I'm going to mess up. I'm so nervous.

Bri is going to do her exam right before me and I know she will pass, she's to good not to. I however feel like I will fail, I can't wait to get it over and done with. I go off into the corner and do my vocal warm ups, I hear Brit's name get called so I look over at her and wink, she crys and walks into the room. Before I knew it she was out and my t-shirt  was called, she did to me as I did to her and I went into the room. We got to pick our own song so I sang 'strong' by one Direction, the music starts and I start singing, I was nervous at the beginning but by the chorus I was feeling fine. I hit every note and I'm hopeful that I will pass.

I left the room and went straight to guitar for my guitar exam. I was going to play 'Little Things' originally but I've now decided I should play 'Amnesia' by 5SOS. I know that the late change will probably cost me but I've got to take risks and there is no room for mistakes. I hope I can pull it off my the time I do the exam...
