As the days and weeks soon passed, their actions towards each other had only became more frequent.

Apart from the creatures coming over for the occasional hub video, the creature house was usually just occupied by James. 

But of course, Aleks was gradually changing that. 

Aleks was visiting James at every free moment of time that he had. They spent their time together playing games, watching TV, chatting about different topics, and getting fast food. But of course not excluding driving around in Aleks’ car while James yelled obscenities at innocent pedestrians.

Tonight they had planned to watch a movie to relax after a long day of recording. 

Aleks was sitting comfortably on the couch, while playing on his phone and petting Ein. As he was waiting for James to heat up some microwave popcorn.

A few minutes later with the popcorn done, James sat down closely next to Aleks. 

James had chosen to have both his arms spread along the back on the sofa, with the popcorn rested in his lap. 

Both of them had gotten so used to their usual close contact, that there was really no point in questioning it anymore.

The early morning hour kept them both silent as the movie started. Yet seemingly, neither of them were paying much attention to it. Aleks was more focused on stuffing his face with popcorn and petting Ein. 

While James was too preoccupied by the brunette close beside him.

James pretended to not to notice his arms slowly sliding down the top of sofa. One arm was now limp at his side, and the other was lying ever so lightly on top of Aleks’ shoulders.

Aleks had a slight smirk on his face as he as soon as he realised what James had not so subtly done.

He wasn’t at all oblivious to James’ actions towards him. He thought it was entertaining to watch James outside his usual angry demeanor.

As the movie went on, they were both making comments at certain scenes. 

Aleks had only found out that he must have been gradually leaning into James when the movie had finished. As James had sat up to stretch.

“Damn dude… look at the time,” Aleks pointed out.

“Fuck me it’s late,” James replied.

“Well, I’d better get going. Eddie is probably freaking out or something.” Aleks said as he stood up to grab his keys.

James walked Aleks out to the car, while explaining his reason for doing so on the way. 

“What if there’s another bear hanging around in the yard somewhere?”

Aleks chuckled remembering the incident with the bear a little while ago. 

“Yeah sure, whatever dude”

As they stood close to each other and the car, Aleks reached his hand out and gingerly touched the hair above James’ ear.

“Dude, your hair is getting long again”

“Excuse me, what are you doing?”

Aleks’ eyes soon turned wide.

“Nothing? What are you on about?” He laughed nervously.

“Anyway dude, see ya,” he turned around fumbling with the keys, he got in the car as fast as he could. 

James slowly walked back to the house while muttering,

“What the fuck was that?”
