-Sebastian's POV (finally!!!)-
I hope he doesn't do anything stupid. I liked
y/n living here; it made Moriarty just a better person in general. Still crazy, but better. He tried to keep the details of his jobs out of her reach, but she knew he had helped with a total of 23 jobs in the last three days. It was obvious to anyone with half a brain and eyes that he was head over heals for her. Miya was an idiot, that's why she slept with him. I promised not to tell Boss, but that really hit y/n deep. She wasn't afraid to admit her feelings for him, and she thought he may even like her back. She was right, of course, but when he did that, her heart shattered. Despite she betted 250 he would within the week. She joked, and smiled through the pain, something I expect she has done a lot. For bloody hell, she sang because she was bored waiting for him to beat her senseless. She was shocked when he let her live, it's not like it was a plan or something! I knew he liked her the first time I heard him say her name. He always referred to his Vic's as 'the target' or 'dead men walking'. Never by name, it took too much of a toll on the assassins, and he needed as many as possible. If there were three less of us, I have no doubt she would've gotten away. She was smart and resourceful, not to mention she nearly took me down, stealing my phone in the process. That took skill. I was nearly 6'5" and if I hadn't chose to be an assassin, I could've been a weight lifter. She was much shorter than me, she was shorter than Moriarty. Not to mention the fact she was wearing heels. She was tough, intelligent, and well versed in weaponry. He needed all the help he could get when it came to his work. He owned the largest crime network in the world, after all. Even after he hired her, he called her by her first name. He always used last names, it was formal and just easier overall. The thoughts raced through my mind as I cleaned my rifle. Another big job. A Japanese diplomat, he was on to our network, so he had to go. The door opened and laughter filled the massive building. Y/n's and a laugh I didn't recognize. Her friend maybe? What was his name? Tyler? I walked to the lounge to greet him, but he wasn't there. Moriarty was, and instead of his usual maniacal laugh, it was a gentle, almost normal, laugh. That wasn't the most surprising part either; his arm was slung around her, not to mention the fact that his lips were tinted with her icy lipstick. To say my jaw hit the floor was an understatement. It went through the floor. It went through the basement. Heck, it went to the other side of the world! He froze when he noticed me standing there. Y/n just laughed at both of our expressions.
"You actually did it!" My voice was just as shocked as my stature. Moriarty seemed a little embarrassed about being caught. I didn't get to see them before they left, but now that I did
y/n looked amazing.
"You look great, Senpai!" I commented, moving to pull her into a hug. Before I could, Boss tightened his grip around her, moving her closer to him. She laughed and pulled away from him, giving me a hug.
"So, how was this place without us?" She teased, her voice clear as a bell. I pulled away from the hug, and saw her cheeks were clearly tear stained, and her mascara had been running.
"I was just cleaning my rifle, but what about you? You've been crying!" Moriarty's demeanor changed, and he seemed less confident.
"A terrible friend. That's what. But, I'm over it," She looked at Boss, and a sad smile graced her lips, "I have James, so I'm more than fine!" He looked up at her, and gave a weak smile, pulling himself up a little, already looking more confident. This wasn't the Moriarty I knew. He was always confident, but with her, it was like one word from her or nasty look and he would crumble. It was nice. Especially since she always tried to build him up. She was beautiful, and I would've loved to be her boyfriend, but this almost seemed better. She didn't try to change him, just wanted him to respect those who cared for him. Basically, me, Miya, and her. We were his friends. His family, but he treated us like dirt. Well, he treated Miya like dirt. Pretty much anyone that cares for him, got stepped on. Except for me, but that was only because we've been friends since we were kids. I helped him kill Carl. Now, it was like he was letting someone else in, for the first time since I met him.
"Well, it's getting late. We should head to bed."
He was talking quickly, like there was something he didn't want me to know. Y/n rolled her eyes, and gave him a light peck on the cheek, which he seemed to melt into.
"I'm missing something, aren't I?" She laughed, and he smiled warmly, looking at her. It's that look that guys that have been with a girl for years get. The whole 'she's the only girl in the world, the rest may as well not exist' look.
"Yeah, but I'm tired, so I'm going to have to agree with James." She pulled me into another hug.
"Goodnight then, Senpai." We had binge watched Black Butler and Ouron Highschool Host Club, so I started calling her Senpai. Moriarty cringed at the name, and I had an inkling feeling he didn't know what it actually meant.
"Night Sebby!" She pulled out of the hug, and gave me a kind smile, before walking up the stairs to her room.
"So, about the Japanese Diplomat, you can take care of it, right?" He asked after a few seconds.
"Course, Boss. Just enjoy her company, you deserve it." I went back to cleaning my weapon. He nodded.
"Sebastian?" Odd. It felt like years since he had said my name with no anger in his voice. It usually was Moran, it was more formal.
"Thank you." He sighed, and walked up the stairs, and into his room. He never thanked me, but I knew why he had. I smiled, packed up my weapon, and left the mansion. Time to get into assassin mode.
